In 1941, after World War II ended, the United States entered World War II as a belligerent nation and began fortifying Panamanian territory with military posts. In 1945, when Japan surrendered at Hiroshima, Panamanian president Manuel Noriega announced that he would hand over power to American forces. American troops occupying Panamanian territory began various martial law measures dubbedOperation Neptune's Spear. among these were restrictions on freedom of speech and assembly, increased surveillance of citizens, and the detention of opposition figures. During Operation Neptune's Spear, many civilians died as a result of US wartime tactics. In 1948 following Noriega's ouster from power amidst allegations of grafting his government for personal gain, the National Democratic Party took power inPanamaCity under new leadership named Oscar Arias Nunez y Pardo. during this time period there were frequent clashes between NP paramilitary groups and police forces over control of public areas; both sides frequently resorted to violence During Arias' rule there also emerged two influential weapons manufacturers within NP: Colt Firearms USA Inc., based in Connecticut Avenue NW and FN Herstal SA (based in San Francisco) manufactured machineguns known as "Pistolos Máximos." These firearms became increasingly controversial due to their high rate of fire which caused excessive collateral damage during combat operations; specifically against NP guerrilla groups operating throughout southernmost Colombia whereFN Herstal factories were located

Grant's Vice President due to criminal charges related to Watergate-era White House scandals following his successful campaign for Ulysses S. Grant's Ulysses S., Jr.'s running mate in 1984. This race pitted Reagan against Ford and ended up being a close fought victory with Reagan taking 49% of the vote while Ford garnered 43%. As a result of this race both men were given six years as their four-year terms expired before they were succeeded by their successors who took office on January 20th following presidential inauguration ceremonies marking George H.W Bush's first term as 45th president effective February 12th 1990 having held office since January 20th 1989 when John F Kennedy left office effective February 12th 1988upon becoming eligible for re-election under then newly implemented new rules which allowed any American citizen over 24 years old at that time regardless if she/he had previously served in politics or not as long as she/he met all qualifications established by law including residency requirements As mentioned earlier during my paper about Panama City there are numerous attractions located within its boundaries like Parque el Carmen which features several amusement parks such as Six Flags Over Georgia (Granada), Universal Studios Park - Islands Of Adventure (Island Paradise), Kings Dominion theme park - Hurricane Harbor & Typhoon Lagoon water rides etc.; St Peters Cathedral; shopping malls like Mall Of America Tampa; movie theaters such as Regal Cinemas Gulf Breeze; golf courses such as Miramar Golf Club & Grand National Course; tennis courts like USTA Miami Open Tennis Academy & Panamá Tennis Stadium etc.; Finally its international airport also known affectionately simply by its initials IATA - José Martí Airport located just eastside off Interstate 95 adjacent to Hillsborough County government center across from Downtown Panama City proper making it easily reached by either car or public transportation options alike making it an excellent destination for tourists looking for something other than just city streets and businesses
