In 1946, Dolan donated 5 acres (18 hectares) northeast of his original holdings for use as a park which became known as Dolan Park after him and his wife Jeanette endowed it in their memory in 1957. During this time period also saw significant development within Ormond Beach with today's center being established on three previously undeveloped parcels totaling 24 acres (11 hectares).
