Ormond Beach is a town in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 24,484 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. Ormond Beach was founded on December 12, 1901 by two brothers: Harry and John Ormond. The first gun sights were installed in what is now the city hall building on Moorish Way in 1903. In 1907, Harry Ormond set up shop on Second Street and began manufacturing sights for shotguns and rifles. His business grew quickly and soon he had three stores in the town alone. By 1912, Harry Ormond had built a new factory on Third Avenue which produced sights for revolvers as well as shotguns and rifles. In 1916, after World War I ended, many soldiers came back to America and needed new firearms because of the new gun laws that became effective following the war. Harry Ormond again became interested in making gunsights because he saw an opportunity to make a profit from selling them to American veterans who were returning home from Europe with different types of firearms than they had before! He decided to open his own store called "The Gun Shop" which would sell both imported firearm parts and domestic made guns made by his company – all at a higher price than what anyone else was selling them for at that time! This allowed him to stay afloat during tough times when other businesses could not keep up with demand! Harry Ormond died in 1922 but his son John continued running The Gun Shop until his death in 1957. In those years it averaged about one sale per week but due to technological advancements (the invention of TV) sales started dwindling around 1970 and stopped completely by 1980 due to competition from online retailers etcetera….. At present day there are only traces of The Gun Shop left still standing behind some old walls inside City Hall………. George Wuerth & Sons also has a long history here in town having been operating since 1921……… so this paper will be limited strictly to handguns & shotguns

The grove soon produced distinctive oranges which led to their nickname “The O’Rongs” because they were hand-picked for export by Wm. Fenton himself. The orange industry continued until World War II when production shifted to other crops such as sugar cane and tangerines; however, citrus still remains as one ofOrmond Beach's most important economic engines today. In 1958 additional land was purchased adjacent to State Road 7 so that construction could begin on what would become Miracle Mile Mall; at that time there were only two shopping centers in Broward County: One on State Road 9 West in Weston and another off US 1 nears Boca Raton . The mall opened in 1962 with anchor stores Sears and JCPenney; over time other anchors have been added including Macy’s (1999), Kmart (1998), Dell (1996), Home Depot (1992) & Lowe’s (1989). In addition more than 20 restaurants were added including several Japanese restaurants during Phase III development which began in 2006/2007 known as The Marketplace Project .Phase IV has since closed but some remnants remain inside of phase V which includes an amphitheater used for concerts/. Ormond Boulevard continues into downtown along Aventura Avenue providing access to both Dolphin Stadium where the Dolphins play their home games as well as numerous businesses such as Publix Super Markets () open late night into Wednesday nights (). All these businesses make up one large business district called Downtown Orlando (), also home to many arts organizations such as Orange Coast Performing Arts Center (), Seminole Dance Theatre (), orchestral music group Florida Philharmonic Orchestra (), Storch'S Artisan Bakery () among many others
