In the early 1960s, Orlando was a sleepy town of just over 100,000 people. But in the aftermath of the assassination of John F Kennedy, gun enthusiasts and NRA members mobilized to push for new gun laws. The city quickly became an important center for firearms research and development, thanks to its location on the Orange Blossom Trail and its access to resources like Seminole Gun Club land. Gun swivels were first invented in Orlando in 1961 by engineer Harry Weisenthal. At that time, guns were not commonly used with their barrels turned upside down so that the muzzle could be aimed at a target from the side or rear. To make these modifications easier and More comfortable for shooters, Weisenthal designed two separate devices: one for handguns (the "Swing-N-Shot") and one for rifles (the "Gun Swivel"). The Gun Swivel was initially available as a single unit but later became available as a kit including both devices. It proved very popular among shooters who wanted to adjust their rifle's sights more easily while shooting from different positions around the house or yard. By 1971, when President Nixon announced his plans to reduce crime in America, gun manufacturers had developed several models of barrel swivels specifically designed for law enforcement use. One such model was called the "Pistol Swivel," which allowed police officers to aim their pistols more easily from various directions around their patrol car or home base.
There are a variety of types of gun swivels on the market, each with its own unique advantages and disadvantages. Here is a review of the three most common types: 1. Hammer-fired swivels: These are designed to rotate while held in the hand so that the barrel can be rotated to face either side. In the early 1920s, Orlando was a small fishing village on the Indian River. At that time, there were only a few gunsmiths and no firearms sales. One of the first gunsmiths in town was John Fenton, who had a shop on Orange Avenue. In 1923, Fenton opened his owngun store called The Gun Shop. The store sold handguns and shotguns only, but it soon became known for selling rifles as well. In 1927, Fenton partnered with fellow gunsmith George Ellington to open The Rifle Emporium, which became one of the most popular rifle stores in town. From then on, Orlando's firearm industry would be dominated by its two foremost retailers: Fenton and Ellington. Fenton died in 1930 and Ellington continued to run The Rifle Emporium until his death in 1957. However, by then Orlando's Firearms Industry had already passed into history; it is now an extinct genre of firearms retailing known as "firearms hunting."

There is a long and rich history of firearms that rely on swivels. Swivels have been used for centuries to adjust the aim of firearms, and they are also important in shotguns. The first guns that had swivels were designed by Chinese gunsmiths in the 6th century BC. These guns featured a revolving barrel that allowed the shooter to change the angle at which the muzzle faced the ground. The use of swivels began to spread throughout Europe in the 12th century AD, and it wasn’t until 1595 that handguns started using swivels as well. By this time, however, rifles were becoming more popular and required a different type of ammunition: cannons could only fire ballistics rounds that were pointed directly at their opponents, meaning rifles couldn’t be used to fire multiple shots simultaneously. This caused shotguns to become an important part of warfare, as they were now able to shoot multiple rounds per minute instead of just one or two per minute. The first gun swivels were patented in 1824 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. They consisted of a piece of metal that was rotated to allow the shooter to move their weapon around while it was still pointing straight at them.
Orlando, Florida is a city in Orange County, Florida. It was founded on December 12, 1907 by Dr. George W. Kissam and Mrs. Cilla Belle Hardwick as the Colony of Duval County. Orlando became an independent municipality on February 14, 1912 with a population of 3,500 people. The city has grown rapidly since its inception and now includes over 45 neighborhoods with a combined population of over 1 million people! The City of Orlando was created from land that had been part of Duval County since 1906 when it was organized as the Colony of Duval County. The original settlers were farmers who grazed their animals on the old Indian Trail that ran through Orange Park today’s downtown area near what is now Central Avenue and Easley Street. In 1907, Dr. George W. Kissam purchased 640 acres east of downtown Orlando for $4 per acre which he donated to the town for development into a planned community called “Orlando” after his wife Cilla Belle Hardwick who had also contributed money to help finance its establishment! The first residents moved in during 1908 and soon realized that they needed more than just farmland for their new city! They began erecting homes and building streets and roads which would later become part of downtown Orlando! In 1912, the citizens of Orlando elected themselves a Mayor and Aldermen who were responsible for providing essential services within the City Limits including but not limited to: Police Department; Courts; Library; Fire Department; Streets & Roads; Utilities (Water/Electricity/ gas). On February 14th, 1912 Orlando became an independent municipality with a population size of 3500 residents! This increase in population led to increased development within the boundaries of the City limits including but not limited to: annexation by Lake Worth Beach on March 15th 1915 followed by annexation by Sanford on November 16th 1916 making Orlando one full-fledged incorporated municipality! In 1923 however, due to budget cuts made by then Mayor James Meeks, most annexations ceased until 1949 when all five municipalities consolidated under one mayorial authority - creating today’sCity Government structure which remains unchanged even though our population has nearly tripled since 1950!!! Orlando is located at 27°14′N – 81°24′W approximately 2 hours north-northwest from Miami Beach along I-95 corridor between Miami & Fort Lauderdale airports
Orlando was founded in 1776 by the brothers Orlando and Manuel de Mora as a trading post on the southern coast of Florida. The area now known as Orlando grew rapidly during the 1800s, becoming one of America's most important trade ports. In 1835, following Seminole Wars, Florida became a United States state and Orlando became its capital. In 1907, King World War I veteran Isadore Parsons donated land near downtown to create what is now Orange County Park. Today, Orange County is home to many popular tourist destinations such as Universal Studios Resort and Disneyworld.
