This was my personal experience with two Walther PPKs after I had purchased them: One from Charter Arms (a reliable manufacturer) and one from Glock (an American manufacturer). I found both pistols very comfortable to carry even though they were not made for Citizen's Shield protection due to their design features(see footnote below). Opa Locka, Florida is a small city located in Duval County, Florida. The population of Opa Locka was 9,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. Opa Locka was founded on December 3, 1915 by Fenton W. "Pappy" and Lillie (née Hickey) Opalocka. The name comes from the Choctaw word "opal". early settlers here included Mrs. Calkins and her husband Mr. Cornelius who had been driving cattle overland to Mobile when they met Pappy and his family on Christmas day 1913 while they were out prospecting for coal in what is now known as Cantonment Road near present day US-1 south of I-95/US-27 east of present day FM 14063. When it became apparent that there would be no coal or other resources to be mined in this country during World War II, many families chose to leave Opa Locka behind and head north into central Florida - including my father's family who left in 1945 after their son enlisted in the U.S Air Force during WWII . The wartime departure caused a change not only for Opa Locka residents but also for everyone living within a two mile radius due to an increase in traffic coming through town on I-95/I-275 which at that time crossed US 27 just west of town limits making it difficult for most people to get around without getting lost .OpaLockatown became more like a ghost town with few people remaining after traffic volumes plummeted as a result of the war . In 1955 Mabel Cronin opened her first convenience store called 'Cafeteria'. She continued operation until 1984 when she closed up shop because she could no longer handle theIncreased traffic levels which came withhovering military planes overhead all hours of the night; noise from military jets being flown over our heads woke us up each morning Several years later another grocery store opened its doors - this one becoming known as 'The Grocery Centre'. That business operated until it too closed down some years later due to increased competition from larger stores which began opening up outside of townspeople had started calling themselves 'the opalocks' because so much development had taken place within 2 miles radius since World War II; however, few if any residents cared about these changes anymore and largely looked back nostalgically upon past times when life wasn't always so loud, hectic and dangerous outside everyday

On November 15th, 2000 Hurricane Floyd made landfall near Opa Locka as a Category 4 storm force hurricane. Damage from Floyd was extensive and included several homes and businesses that were destroyed or heavily damaged; however no deaths were reported in the city ofOpalockanomyastate during this time period despite what some media reports said about high winds and flooding which affected other communities located adjacent toOpalockaanomyastate including Pompano Beach and Sunrise Ranch (now part of Weston). A few weeks later Hurricane Charley struck much closer to mainland USA inflicting massive damage across all areas including Ft Lauderdale-Boca Raton-West Palm Beach while also causing fatalities when it caused heavy damage insideopalinlockatanomyastate along with numerous injuries throughout both Plantation Estates & Sunrise Ranch Areas around town but no loss or death reported inOpalockaanomyastate during this time period despite what some media reports said about high winds and flooding which impacted other communities located adjacent toOpalockaanomyastate including Pompano Beach and Sunrise Ranch (now part of Weston).
Opa Locka, Florida was founded on December 15, 1847 by James A. Opalock and his brother-in-law, Charles C. Dooley. The town is named for the Opalocks' land grant in Brewster County which they received in 1835. It began as a small farming community with a population of only twenty-two people in 1850. In the early days of Opa Locka's development, it was an important stop on the road between Tampa and Jacksonville. However, due to its location within Indian Key State Park and its lack of transportation options, the community gradually declined over the years. By 1960, fewer than fifty people lived in Opa Locka proper while there were only two businesses left operating in that decade. today, only a single house remains standing in what once was one of Opa Locka's most vibrant neighborhoods
