In 1930, two brothers by the name of Joe and Jack Goode developed land northwest of downtownJacksonville adjacent to State Road 7 which led down to Indian Pass Creek where they founded Goode Farms Dairy products manufacturing plant now known as Hooters International Restaurants Incorporated - one example among many businesses initiated or continueed by this entrepreneurial duo including such pioneers as Roy Kroc who opened McDonald's Corporation in 1948 located just across SR7 from Goode Farms location (now Int'l Business Center). By 1960 there were more than 100 businesses operating in downtownJacksonville alone employing 6,000 individuals with nearly 2 million square feet (~700 buildings) commercial space available!. It wasn't until 1971 when developer/developer Albie Ladd purchasedGoode Farms Dairy products manufacturing plant located east off US Highway 301 next to then existing Yacht Club Boulevard & Plantation Drive giving him direct access to Interstate 95 southbound thru his development site allowing ample parking for large truckloads destined for Pensacola Naval Air Station during those years major air traffic center serving northwestern Florida consisting at its peak over 400 airlines served plus control room(rain or shine) operations directly above stadium complex providing employment opportunities for literally thousands during intra-city rush hours not only locally but statewide!!! Today you can find remnants & vestiges Of Joe & Jack Goode Sr.'s original business activity still extant today along I-95 corridor just outside Sanford – an indication that this entrepreneurial spirit will always continue To prevail!

Oldsmar is known for its historical landmarks and its role as a center of citrus production in Southeast Florida. The first settlers to the area arrived in 1839 and named it "Oldsmar." This new stop helped increase exports to Tampa Bay by 100 percent! In 1898, when Volney Epp took over management of Citrusland Farms from his father-in-law Harry Laughlin, he began marketing oranges here as part of his larger marketing strategy for Citrusland Farms throughout Southwest Florida and Georgia. During World War II, many residents served during Ingrid's War (1939-1945) with various military units stationed nearby including Coast Guard Station Fort Myers which operated out of Oldsmars Harbor from 1941-1945; headquarters for Third Army’s Mobile Division Commanding General Walter Peebles; Third Army Service Hospital located adjacent to today’s old schoolhouse on US 29A just south of town limits; Headquarters Company First Battalion Seventh Infantry Regiment (Airborne), 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team – Orange County who barracks Camp Chapman off US 1 within sight; Navy Air Station Clearwater also located adjacent to present day Airport Blvd., Port Stroudsburg PA 1944 thru 1946
