One of the first pistols sold at the store was a Colt .45 revolver, which came with its own holster and belt clip. In 1927, Oldsmar became one of the first towns in Florida to allow carry of handguns without a permit. Gun sales increased as residents began to feel comfortable owning firearms without fear of being pulled over or having their guns taken away. In 1937, Oldsmar became home to the world’s second handgun laser show when it hosted “The Big O Show” at the local fairgrounds. This event drew attention to handgun lasers and helped popularize this technology in America.
