In 1911, the Third Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified, making it illegal for any person “to keep or bear any Arms within this State” without a license from the state government. This prohibition led to many Gun shops being located outside of Florida until it was repealed in 1934.

In 1847, percussion cap rifles were developed by George Stephenson and James Watt. These rifles used a series of fixed cartridges that could be loaded with different types of powder and ball (projectile). These guns had high accuracy and could fire many rounds per minute. In 1854, John Browning designed his famous “ sporting rifle” based on the Russian Mosin–Nagant rifle. This weapon featured a magazine that allowed multiple rounds to be fired continuously without having to reload

Oldsmar is a town in Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,836 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. The first Oldsmar post office opened in 1881. In 1903, Oldsmar incorporated as a municipality. The name originated from the old Spanish for "quiet and secluded". It was once thought that the name may have been derived from Spanish moss which grows on trees around the town's perimeter. According to legend, General Manuel Ordonez halted his army near Oldsmar in 1810 while he was moving southward from Pensacola to Fort Walton Beach and asked an Indian guide what village he should visit next on his way across Panama Canal Zone; upon learning that it was Oldsmar, General Ordonez ordered his men not to damage or cross over any Mexican mossy trees while they were passing through - this event is also said to be why there are no Mormon churches in Oldsmar today (the first church built here was destroyed by fire in 1906). On July 4th 1889, irrigation systems were installed within what is now Oldsmar when President Grover Cleveland signed legislation authorizing their construction. This allowed citrus production throughout much of Florida including Monroe County beginning with only 5 acres of land being used for oranges- enough only for a single tree! A year later water pipes were laid down pipelines routing water from Hillsborough River into Plantation areas east of Tampa so orange production could begin expanding outwards into Tampa Bay and beyond... during these years many small businesses flourished as people found ways to get involved with growing produce & selling flowers/pipes outside of homes/establishing small stores inside buildings... In 1902 citizens approved a new constitution establishing government by referendum instead of letter from the governor etcetera giving more power to local governments
Oldsmar is a town in Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,848 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European to land in what is now Monroe County was Giovanni da Sessa on March 11, 1565. He named it after his patron saint, Saint Andrew of Jerusalem. In 1763 John Oldsmar founded an Italian colony called Contratto di Vincoli which became Fort Myers in 1821 when that area was separated from Monroe County and incorporated as its own municipality. On October 20, 1907 the first electric streetcar service ran through Oldsmar when the Jacksonville-Miami Railway Company built a line from Jacksonville to Opa Locka using old army barracks as trackage facilities. The company also built a switchyard north of town for connecting cars with other lines northwest and east of town. In 1915, electrical wires were laid down SR 6 (now US 1) between Fort Myers and Naples to bring electricity to the area; this system was later extended south to Brooksville along SR 914 (now US 98). After World War II there were many new businesses established in Oldsmar including Duke's Department Store which reopened in 1951 after being closed by DuPont for years; it remains one of the most successful small businesses ever opened in Monroe County!
