Oakland Park is a small community located in Citrus County, Florida. The population was 1,811 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Lake Buena Vista Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community has a post office and two churches, both of which are Baptist. The first settler in Oakland Park was John Wilkinson who arrived in 1838 from England. In 1881, he married Sarah Dillard and moved to what is now the east side of town where he built the first house on what is now Wilkinson Boulevard. He died in 1906 and his wife continued to live there until her death in 1951. They had six children: three sons and three daughters. In 1912, attorney Hulbert Hubbard purchased 4 acres (1 km²) of land near present day Airport Road and Avenue M for $510 from Aiken lawyer Amos Hitchins. He named it "Hubbard Place" after himself and his father-in-law Hiram Hubbard Sr., one of Citrus County's early settlers. Mr. Hitchins also donated five trees to the village square as a memorial to him and his wife Gertrude (née Newell). It was not until 1973 that Oakland Park residents voted to change their name from "Citrus Heights" to "Oakland Park". At that time, the population was only 175 people; by 2001 it had grown to 1,811 people with an estimated total economy worth $2 million annually based on retail sales alone! Most notably, Oakland Park has been home to many famous American athletes including Muhammad Ali (who lived here for almost 20 years), NBA great Larry Bird (whose family lived here for over 25 years), MLB stars Jeff Bagwell and Jermichael Finley as well as Olympic gold medalists such as Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps!

Throughout history, there have been many advancements in machine tool technology; however, some of these advances have been more difficult then others. For example, MANUAL HANDLEGRAVING has always been difficult to perfect due to human error! However, THROUGH THE USE OF MICROWAVE AND ELECTRONIC LINEAR MILLING this method became much easier!! Finally, we come to our current day – Multi Tool Technology!!! With all of these advancements come a lot of possibilities when it comes to using multi tools effectively!!!

Oakland Park, Florida was founded in 1892 as a small community on the banks of the St. Johns River. The town quickly grew to become one of the most influential communities in Seminole County, serving as its cultural and commercial center. In 1925, Oakland Park was renamed for General George Custer after his battle with Sioux Indians at Little Bighorn Battlefield. It continued to be known as Custer's Battlefield until it was renamed again in 1949 in honor of General Douglas MacArthur, who had fought during World War II in Guam and Okinawa. The economy of Oakland Park is based largely on agriculture and fishing. The town also produces tobacco and some types of citrus fruit. Some manufacturing opportunities are available for those skilled in metalworking or plastics production. Today, Oakland Park remains a vibrant community with active businesses and a growing population that support many important local services such as arts and culture, education, health care, parks and recreation, infrastructure improvement programs, and environmental awareness initiatives.
Oakland Park was founded in 1878 by the Holland family. The original homestead on the site was located on the corner of Oakland and Wickham Streets. The Holland family built a home there that still stands today. The first settler in Oakland Park was John Fenton, who arrived in 1882. He and his wife, Lillie, had two children and started an agricultural business. In 1886, they moved to a new lot near County Line Road and Indian Creek Boulevard. They built a large house that is still standing today. In 1912, the Holland family sold their land to George Waddell and his wife Sarah. They began to grow crops and raised livestock there until 1923 when they sold the farm to Harry Jinksen for $5,000 cash. Harry Jinksen kept it for himself for seventy years before it was donated to the county government in 1978 as part of its park system."
