The history of North Palm Beach goes back to 1892 when George Washington Carver and his wife Sarah Broughton Carver established themselves in what is now known as North Palm Beach. They were motivated to improve transportation connections between West Palm Beach and Miami because they believed that this would create more opportunities for their community to grow economically. In 1907, North Palm Beach became an incorporated city under the name "North Miami". The following year saw another annexation by Westchester County - becoming part of what is now known as South Miami-Dade County. This annexation allowed for even greater growth potential for North Palm beach; however, due to zoning laws at that time it was not possible for everyone within the city limits to enjoy similar levels of development or access to public services such as education or health care. In 1969 NorthPalmBeach voters passed a resolution requesting annexation by neighboring Dania Township which occurred two years later on December 17th 1970 after almost six months long process during which no vote could be taken due to political stalemate between Dania Township officials and City Officials from both cities attempting unsuccessfully to force unification without taking appropriate action by either party towards achieving common goals
North Palm Beach was founded in 1892 by J.P. Morgan, a banker and investor who also built the first steel mill in Florida. The town became a popular summer resort destination for Americans and Europeans alike, with its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and lush gardens. North Palm Beach's popularity declined in the 1920s as construction of Interstate 95 increased traffic and development around the area encroached on what had been the town's primary source of revenue. In the 1930s, part of North Palm Beach was annexed by nearby Jupiter while another part was annexed by Fort Myers in 1934; however, both towns retained their own municipal governments until 1949 when they were merged into one unified municipality under the name of "NorthPalmBeach."
