The first rifles were fired off from horseback in North Miami, Florida in 1861. The first rifle scopes were designed and built by an American manufacturer named Burton. In 1876, the company was purchased by the Crosman Corporation, and began making rifle scopes under that name. In 1949, Crosman merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester Incorporated. Winchester Repeating Arms Company continued to make rifle scopes under the Crosman name until its divestiture in 1978. During this time period, Crosman also produced a number of other products such as shotguns and pistols. In 1925, a group of engineers from Wernher Korff’s German-owned Rheinmetall firearms company came to America to work on developing new military weapons. The current owner is Wynn Resorts who also operate nearby hotels including Trump International Golf Club Properties (TPC) and Key West Casino Hotel . In 1933 North Miami was annexed byMiami and became part of that city's political jurisdiction; however, its schools continued to teach in their own districts outside of the newly formed municipality hall Building at 227TH Street SW corner NW served as both municipal library and post office until 1985 when all but one school district within Miami-Dade County closed their doors following annexation into Coral Gables Borough form Broward County effective January 1st 1986 with all K-12 students within unified county subject to Broward County public schools only . No school district remains within NORTH MIAMI BEACH CITY limits today other than Saint Johns River School District #1 which operates out of Branchlift High School located on Northwest First Avenue near Tamiami Trail Parkway

In 1821, when Mexican independence from Spain was announced, many Floridians voted to become a part of United States as part of the Mexican-American War.
