Additionally, V3X has been shown to have shorter ranges than OC sprays when fired at close range, making it more effective against combatants rather than bystanders. North Miami is a small town in Broward County, Florida. The population was 9,029 at the 2010 census. North Miami is located on State Road 727, about 10 miles (16 km) east of Fort Lauderdale and 15 miles (24 km) west of Miami Beach. The community began as just a few families living along the railroad tracks in what is now part of Coral Gables. By 1925, North Miami had a few businesses and three churches. In 1928, the first post office opened in North Miami and it soon became known as "the quiet little town." In 1946, when South Florida was divided into two regions by the United States Census Bureau, NorthMiami residents voted to become their own municipality. On July 1 of that year they officially became "North Miami Borough". Inspired by nearby Boca Raton's growth during World War II and with increased development coming from SouthBroward counties such as Pinellas and Broward County itself, NorthMiami voters passed a referendum in 1964 to annex all of South Broward into their municipality. This annexation led to rapid growth for both towns; by 1970, NorthMiami had reached its current population size of 9,029 people. On December 12th 1990 Hurricane Andrew struck south-central Florida killing over 50 people including many seniors living in Lauderhill and unincorporated areas near Naples airport which were affected greatly by winds speeds up to 165 mph (250 km/h). Many homes were destroyed or badly damaged with many mobile homes also lost completely or severely damage rendering them unable to be repaired or replaced although some were salvaged for use as temporary housing until permanent repairs could be made

North Miami is a small town in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 3,471 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami–Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood Combined Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in North Miami was George Dyer in 1895. A post office called "Miami" was established in 1903, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1967. In 1911, the Miami Hurricane destroyed most of Fort Lauderdale and killed over 1,000 people. As a result of this damage and onetime loss of revenue to Fort Lauderdale, Colonel John L. Armistead convened a meeting to discuss re-establishingMiami as an eastern seaport for South Florida's shipping needs; this led to the establishment of North Miami Beach as its primary port on September 21, 1912. In 1916 North Miami Beach became part of what would become Greater Miami when all but 11 towns within the boundaries of modern-day Broward County were annexed intoMiami city limits; however NorthMiami continued to be considered separate from downtownMiami until 1924 when it united with other adjacent communities (including Little Havana) under Mayor Manuel Gomez's administration to form what would eventually become known as "The Metropole". In 1925 Dennis Brainard built his first home on NW First Street which still stands today as one of the oldest homes in North Miami Beach – he started out by renting space inside an old movie theater that still stands today across Northwest First Avenue from where NW First Street meets Biscayne Boulevard near Park Avenue/Upper West Side intersection). Dennis Brainard later married Gertrude “Gussie” Barnes who also lived there at that time (She is buried behind her husband’s house next door). In 1941 brainard founded American Stars Theatre Co.; now known as Stagecoach Theatre Company which produces stage shows throughout Broward County including productions at The Little Theater on Northeast 137th Street just east of I-95). After World War II brainard built two more houses: One on NE Second Street and one overlooking NE Third Avenue just south Of Biscayne Boulevard near Coral Gables Blvd., both are still standing today example 2nd floor apartment #604 facing Coral Gables Blvd., Unit 5A has been preserved & used for events such as weddings etc since 1978 & includes 4 bedrooms 3 full bathrooms with Jacuzzi tub suite! Today unit offers direct view onto Biscayne Boulevard . . . In 1961 developer Claude Pepper bought land across NW First Ave from Dennis Brainart for use as a shopping mall with three levels including a supermarket and movie theater; pepper developed it into Center Court Shopping Center which anchored by Sears Tower before being sold to JCPenney Pizza Incorporated in 1984 and becoming JCPenney Centre Mall (now Macy's) followed by Kmart Supercentre after that store closed down around 2001 prior to being demolished along with much older commerce buildings located between NNW 1st Ave & US 1st St.; recently activity has been developing between US 1st St & NW Second Ave due north towards new Ponce City Hall development currently under construction https://www2a2adc55b7d3f1ffebe5ded90e8b4d6bdd9/. While development may continue further up this street there remain several large vacant lots contiguous with these properties making it difficult or impossible to develop anything significant nearby without disturbing or affecting these large empty lots
