In some cases, gun chokes were used to prevent firearms from firing while in other cases they were used as a way of restraining an attacker. One of the earliest examples of firearm choke usage is found in China’s Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). A type of gun choke was invented by Qiao Qianxu in this period and it consisted of a bandanna or piece of cloth that was placed over the barrel neck and passed through a hole near the muzzle. This device prevented the firearm from firing and also served as a restraint measure against attackers. In 18th century England, a type of firearm choke known as The Maiden’s Ear was developed. This choke consisted of a metal ring that was inserted into the barrel at an angle so that it could not be removed without breaking the breech lock. Once installed, this ring prevented firearms from firing and also served as a restraint measure against assailants. During World War II, several types of gun chokes were developed in order to prevent firearms from fireing or being discharged unintentionally. One such choking technique was called The Jackal’s Jaw, which consisted of wrapping one's hand around the grip handle before pulling back on the trigger to create an effective muzzle brake (known today as “ghostbusters” hold). Another common technique during World War II was called The Golden Fleece, which involved using two hands to apply pressure to either side ofThe barrel with hopes that this would cause enough noise and vibration to launch any intruder prematurely into eternity! As technology continued to progress, various new ways were devised in order to restrict gunfire within range safety guidelines set by law enforcement officials. For example, in 1998 Glock introduced its XD Series pistols with magazine release catch devices known as “firearm locks”; these devices allowed officers to quickly reload their handguns without having them discharge again accidentally while under duress or threat thereof. The City of NorthMiami was founded on November 1, 1914 by a group of businessmen and entrepreneurs led by J.P. Morgan and Simon Guggenheim. NorthMiami became a city after annexation from Doral on February 10, 1976. It has since grown to include much of the eastern shoreline of Biscayne Bay including Fort Lauderdale and Clearwater Beach. The area that now makes up NorthMiami was once swampy and full of large trees, which made it difficult for settlers to make their way through. However, over time progress was made and land was cleared for farming, housing, and businesses. By 1915 there were already two schools in the area: one for black children ( Booker T Washington Elementary School) and one for white children (North Miami High School). In 1917 a baseball team called the Marlins played its first game against the Stroudsburg Reds at Key West Stadium; it is said that they lost 9-2. In 1928 Jules Ferry purchased 3/8ths interest in The Herald Tribune newspaper company from Eben Hirschfelds family; Ferry would later become presidentially elected as United States Senator from Florida in 1984. Ferry saw an opportunity to build a new paper mill in South Doral so he leased land east of Biscayne Boulevard from American Telephone& Telegraph Company (AT&T) for $4 million dollars ($54 million today). The mill began production in 1930 but only produced about 50% what it had initially planned due to conflicts with other companies within AT&T; however this event helped establish NorthMiami as an industrial center during the early years following World War II when many factory jobs opened up throughout southern Florida due to America’s participation in World War II. During the late 1940s through early 1950s many homes were built along Northwest First Avenue between Northeast Third Street and Northwest Second Street due to being near ATC’s new plant; this stretch is now known as “First Avenue Corridor” because many residential buildings still remain along this corridor today! Many different businesses were established along First Ave during this time such as Checkers Wash & Dry Cleaning store (now defunct), Service Club Store #1 (now defunct), Gulfstream Chevrolet dealership (now defunct), Lighthouse Motel & Marina complex #1 (the first phase opened in 1945), Pompano Beach Coffee Shop (& Café)#2 - precursor to Starbucks (#3 opened later), etc.; some companies that are still extant today include Waffle House (#4 closed back in 1997), Chiquita Getz grocery store ($) #5 closed back in 2006), ABC Supply Co., Incorporated ($) #6 closed back in 1992) etc… These businesses formed what is known today as “First Avenue Corridor Business District” which totaled over 100 companies active at any given time! In 1884, a group of men from North Miami led by Captain John H. Smith founded the town of Banana River on the east bank of the Miami River. The town was named for a banana tree that stood near the river's edge. The first store in Banana River was built by Captain Smith and his associates. In 1886, North Miami became an incorporated municipality with a population of about 100 people. In 1898, the city limits were expanded to include parts of Dade County on the west side of the river.
