They soon set up shop on what is now Post Road which led down to English Bayou where they fished and hunted until their boat sank while trying to cross English Bayou during high water; they managed to get ashore but their goods went missing forever when it sunk again next day (May 24th). In 1926 Halsey Pogue bought land east of Post Road from Jens Jensen for $1 million dollars which he named Pogue Key after Admiral Ernest Hemingway’s father-in-law who had gifted him part ownership in Santiago de Cuba two years earlier when Hemingway was still a cadet at West Point! Three years later Doctor Luther Sitton moved into Pogue Key after purchasing part ownership from Halsey Pogue plus another tract adjoining it across Spanish Bayou (now Post Road) . Dr Sitton started surgery on patients at Fort Myers Naval Hospital before moving northward to Jacksonville where he became head doctor at St Petersburg General Hospital before opening his own practice there about 1915 which continued until his death thirty five years later – thus becoming one of Jacksonville’s longest running medical professionals! For example, many pistols now have moving parts that make them harder to control when firing; two-handed operation is also discouraged so that the shooter cannot lose grip; and trigger guards prohibit accidental release of the weapon’s rounds.
