A post office was established at Miami Springs in 1903, and remained in operation until it closed in 1961. Banks were established in Miami Springs between 1907-1914 by Jardine Hogg, Wm Cramer Jr., John Prentice, Julius Rosenwald Sr., Franklin Bacheker, Harry Fenton and others during the early 20th century flush with business opportunities brought about by advances in transportation technologies such as automobiles and electricity
Miami Springs is a small town in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The population was 3,821 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Miami–Dade City metropolitan area. The community was established in 1902 as a summer resort on the banks of the Miami River, about southeast of downtown Miami. In 1915, it became an incorporated village and has since grown to include portions of Kendall and Dadeland counties. The name "Miami Springs" originated from when people used to go there for swimming and sunbathing during the summertime. In 1902, two brothers named Fenton bought land near present-day Main Street and Spring Garden Road in what is now part of Miami Springs. They built a cottage called "Mansion House" which still stands today next to their farmhouse which served as their summer home until 1959. In 1915, after years of effort by several members of the village board, Miami Springs was granted city status. On October 1, 1925 Mayor John Ahernomen bestowed upon it municipal rights by proclamation from his office at City Hall; this act made it one of twenty municipalities within Miami-Dade County that were given city status on that date. At first all property within its boundaries belonged to individual citizens; however, with growth and annexation later that decade some properties were sold off to other developers or used for school or commercial purposes outside the limits set for them by ordinance dating back to 1924. As a result of this process many streets within its boundaries were renamed after local leaders or residents who had played an important role in shaping their communities – such as future Mayor Emilio Garcia (1927-37), Driscoll Brothers physician Harry Huggins (1930-32) or banker Winton Dean (1934). One notable exception occurred when Meridian Drive was renamed Park Avenue after thenMayor Manuel Diaz’s widow Dolores so her husband could receive credit for having helped bring cityhood about 21 years earlier! Today one can find plenty evidence that life enjoyed by early residents continued well into the 1920s following incorporation into town: businesses continue up through World War II; postcards from those days show homespun interiors withriage gardens complete with fenced yards full of white sand beaches around every bend; vacation rentals are available through websites like airbnb; and even though times have changed much since then – most notably with advancing age demographics – many aspects remain similar includingfriendly locals who will provide interesting stories about how things once worked out hereabouts

Today, Miami Springs contains over 60 buildings including a library and Baptist church which are all within walking distance of each other. There are also several golf courses within easy driving distance as well as restaurants and nightlife venues like The Venetian Resort & Casino and Wynwood Center Mall which are only minutes away by car or public transportation. The history of Miami Springs goes back much further than that though; there have been human settlements here since 3000 BC! One account suggests that early man used this area for hunting resources such as deer, bear, turkey and wild boar while others claim that this region was part of an ancient Merovingian kingdom called Olmecs whose capital was at Taxco de la Vega on the Gulf Coast of Mexico near present day Brownsville TX! After Spanish exploration discovered this area during their attempt to expand their empire eastward into what is now south Florida in 1513 they named this part Of La Union after King Ferdinand Magellan's visit to South America 3 years earlier! However before long Spanish settlers found dead bodies left behind by natives here so they didn't rename it again until 1534 when Governor Alonso Menéndez de Avilés renamed it Panama City after his native country’s crown prince – Panama’s first king!). This brings us right up to our current day with where we stand today with everything from our rich history full of culture and art associated with areas around the world famous like Havana Cuba or Santiago Chile to some very small towns just north of Ft Lauderdale FL constantly striving for recognition!
