Gun barrels have a very long and varied history. They are used in many different ways, most notably as firearms. One of the earliest guns was a handgun called the ancient Egyptian tomahawk. It consisted of a short tube of wood with a sharpened point at one end and a round hole in the other. The Tomahawk was used as an instrument of war to kill prey or enemies. The first cannon was designed by Leonardo da Vinci in 1492. It consisted of two cannons that fired arrows through small loopholes in the barrel to shoot huge balls of fire out into the sky. Cannonballs were so big that they could hit people on buildings from great distances! In 1607, Englishman John Hawkins discovered colonists on Long Island had been using Native American bows and arrows to attack their subjects on Manhattan Island! He realized this could not be done with just traditional weapons, so he developed his own type of gun which he named “the Hawkins Gun” after himself! This gun was made from long tubes of metal that were bored down to make small holes through them, then filled with shot (or else pitch). When you pulled the trigger, these smaller holes would open up and firing would cause the large shot inside to fly out and hit your target!
The first guns with barrels were made in the 6th century. The first gunsmiths used a different type of metal than is now used, and they had to forge it into a Gun Barrel.

Miami Beach was founded on July 26, 1922 as Longboat Key by Captain John C. Watts with the help of Wernher von Braun and others from NASA during the space race. In 1951, developers Wantagh and Weiss merged their two businesses to form developer/builder Wantagh Weiss & Company which became one of South Floridas most well knowndevelopers and builders of high-rise condominiums and apartments throughout downtown Miami Beach (then just called "Thebeach"). In 1957,Wantagh Weiss built what is now One Ocean Drive overlooking Biscayne Bay - one of South Floridas leadingedge luxury development projects. In 1970 developer Harry Mihevc teamed up with real estate mogul Leonard Lauder to create Lauder's huge Realtors Corporation which would eventually become one of South Floridas most powerful real estate interests. By 1990 Lauder had also formed a 50% ownership stake in Jardin Resources Incorporated (later renamed Marchetti Exploration). This investment allowed him to control sizable tracts of undeveloped beachfront land in south central Miami Beach that he could use for his own exclusive development project - Supernova Cay Club which eventually became world famous as a luxurious villa resort complete with an airport runway and its own private harbor etc.. Today many people still remember how beautiful it used to be when they were driving down BEACH RD., just past the old post office building on MAGNIFICENT AVE., looking out over BISCAYNE BAY...the sound of waves crashing against the shoreline...the smell of salt water in the air...and all around you were these fabulous structures being erected RIGHT ON THE BEACH! These days things have changed quite a bit however; there are now helicopters flying overhead providing services such as security for wealthy residents while large complexes like Regency Villas sit empty or are underutilized because they are too close to busy streets; some people might say that this has caused crime rates to increase; but overall I believe that if you take a walk along any beach anywhere in America or Europe you will see evidence that humans have not destroyed all that great natural beauty - rather it has been preserved reasonably well by those who care about it
Miami Beach was known as a resort town until the early 1900s. The area now known as Miami Beach was first settled by Spanish colonists in the late 16th century. In 1835, two brothers, José and Manuel Martínez de la Cruz, founded the city of Miami on this site. The Martínez brothers were followed by other entrepreneurs who built properties along Biscayne Bay. By 1840, Miami had a population of around 5,000 people. In 1876, President Ulysses S. Grant decided to annex most of what is now Miami Beach into Dade County because he felt that the area was unimportant and lacked natural resources. This annexation created tension between Dade County and Broward County which would continue to simmer for years to come. On November 15, 1904, after residents of both counties voted in favor of annexation by becoming one municipality under one government structure, Miami Beach became part ofbrowardcounty; however, it remains part of dade county today due to its location within its boundaries.
