The second type of gun swivel was created in 1903 by George Weiser. It was called the "Weiser gunswivel." This type of gun swivel consisted of a pivot arm that moved up and down on an axis perpendicular to the barrel axis. This allowed guns with barrels that were too wide or too small to be fitted with standard Weaver sights to be breech-loading and fired using a conventional loading block and cannonball screwdriver method known as "ramming." Marco Island is a small, sandy, and secluded island located in the Gulf of Mexico about ninety miles south of Tampa, Florida. The island was named for Marco Polo, who visited the area in 1295 AD. Marco Polo's journey from Persia to China was the first time that Europeans had ever set foot on what is now Marco Island. In 1821, the United States acquired part of Marco Island from Spain as part of the Treaty of Paris following the American Revolution. The treaty ceded Florida to America and also provided for Spanish sovereignty over Cuba and Puerto Rico. On October 25th, 1827, Congress passed an act creating Flagler County (Florida) which included most of present day Marco Island including its land grant to James A. Fields from Spain. Field's heirs continued to control Flagler County until it was sold off by the government in 1907 to a group led by Lieutenant Colonel George Wainwright who then donated it to charity as a national park known as Wildlife Preserve National Park. However, much of Flagler County today remains within present-dayMarco Island National Park

In general, they consist of a metal or plastic ring that is attached to the gun barrel by means of an axle. When turned around the ring], it allows the firearm to be aimed in any direction without having to remove it from its holster. The first gun swivels were designed for use with muzzle-loading firearms. The rings on these weapons were often too tight for easy turn around, meaning that they had to be removed from their holsters every time they were needed to fire. This introduced numerous problems into the equation: first, it became difficult for soldiers and civilians alike to access their firearms; second, many people found it difficult or impossible to shoot accurately while wearing gloves or holding onto something else while using their weapon; third, muzzleloader rifles became increasingly inaccurate as time went on due to worn rings and other elements within the barrellocating system. The original design featured a metal band consisting of three circles that rotated about an axis jutting out of its center - this gave it enough stability when turning around so that it could be easily mounted onto any type of firearm (muzzleloader included). However, because this prototype was only used on muzzleloader rifles at the time (!), there are few if any modern examples extant today that can share our knowledge about its function/useage(s).

Marco Island, Florida was first settled by the Dutch in 1609. The area became a part of the United States on January 20, 1821. It was named for General Marco Antonio de Ayala, who fought in the Mexican-American War and later served as Secretary of War under President James K. Polk. In 1914, Marco Island was annexed by Jacksonville, Florida and is now known as Jacksonville Beach.
