In Longwood, Florida in the 1920s, shotguns were becoming more and more popular. Shotgun chokes were developed to help make these handguns less likely to fire one too many rounds. A shotgun choke is a type of choke that C&R Arms Corporation put on its shotguns in 1922. This choke was designed to prevent the shotgun from firing any rounds beyond the first few rounds fired. Over time, other manufacturers added their own unique choke designs to their shotguns, so there are now many different shotgun chokes available. The first shotgun choke was developed by C&R Arms Corporation and it was called the "3-1/2 inch" choked shotgun manual safety model (MSA). Longwood is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 59,771 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. The land that would become Longwood was first settled by Seminole Indians in the late 17th century and became part of Indian Country after being ceded to Spain in 1763. In 1837, Congressman John C. Calhoun spoke before an audience at Longwood Academy about creating a new U.S. territory from Florida and recommended that it be named for General James Scott (1756-1835), who had fought with distinction against Spanish forces in the War for Independence and been promoted to general after his victory at Fallen Timbers on July 4, 1813 near Tampa Bay. On December 12, 1838, Scott's body was brought from Tallahassee to rest at Fort Brooke on what is now Live Oak Lane Cemetery outside of Longwood; he was buried there until his death two years later on February 3, 1840. Founded by Captain Benjamin Fenton (1799-1864) during Reconstruction era government troops stationed here following the Civil War – part of what are today known as "Old Boy's Network" – Longwood rapidly grew into a prominent community post-war due to its location halfway between Jacksonville and Tampa Bay and its easy access to Interstate 95 and other transportation options. By 1960 Longwood had more than 1,000 residents; over time it has grown even more through annexation of adjacent communities including Delray Beach (1991), Port St Lucie (2002), North Port (2008), Belle Glade (2013) and Boca Raton (2018). Today Longwood enjoys widespread reputation as one of America’s most beautiful cities with a thriving economy based largely upon tourism which accounts for nearly 60% of its total revenue . With plans under way to add additional housing developments over the next few years this vibrant community should continue growing even larger! There are many types of gun chokes. Some guns have a "reliable" choke that holds the rounds in the barrel, others have a "not reliable" choke that lets the rounds escape. Firearms manufacturers often make different types of chokes for different firearms to ensure compatibility and interchangeability of parts. Gun chokes have been around since before handguns were invented. Gunsmiths would create specific choke barrels for pistols and rifles to insure compatibility with other firearms. In 1871, John Browning designed a shotgun choked with an eight-inch bbl., which was later adopted by the U.S. Military as the M1 carbine rifle version (1939). The 8-inch bbl. also became popular in centerfire rifle calibers such as .308 Winchester and 556 NATO (.223 Remington). The first handgun to be choked using a standard 1 3/4 inch bore was the Smith & Wesson Model 1911 pistol in 1927, followed by revolvers such as Colt’s New Model Army revolver in 1928 and Ruger’s models 9mm Auto and .380 ACP in 1929. Rifle users soon began to find similar 1 3/4 inch firearm barrels available for their favorite calibers, making it easier than ever for shooters to interchange parts between handguns and rifles without having to go through a regular firearms manufacturer ordealer! Today, most handgun chokes are still 1 3/4 inch bores; however, some exceptions include certain shotguns that use 2-1/2 inch bores (e.g., pump shotguns) or even 3-1/2 inch bores (e.g., Lewisguns). Shotguns using larger bore sizes can be difficult to control because they can hold more rounds per shot than handguns do when fired singly from single shot mode; however, this challenge is becoming less common as ammunition capacity grows more consistent across all barrel diameters in both civilian and law enforcement shooting applications!

Longwood is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. It was founded in 1892 by Captain George Long and his family. The town has grown to be a major center of commerce and industry, with a population of 9,809 as of the 2010 census. It is located on the Unicoi Peninsula on Florida's Turnpike between Tampa and St Petersburg. The first European settlers in what is now Longwood were Hugh Mills (1762–1837), who built a cabin in 1794; John Fenton (1797-1865), who came to live near present-day Longwood in 1800; and Job Harbison (c. 1799-1864), who built a house on the peninsula in 1812. In 1824, Captains George Long and James Hennepin created what is now Polk County from parts of Orange County, after losing an attempt to purchase land from the Seminole Tribe for $3 million. In 1892, Captain George Long organized the First National Bank of Miami with six partners: his son Colonel John A. Long; Jethro Gannett (the brother of Jeptha Gannett Sr., one of America's most famous businessmen); Elisha Cooke Bateson (a wealthy Jacksonville attorney and member of the original Cuban sugar family that had settled Cuba centuries earlier); Isaac Norris Wearey (the grandson of Commodore William Paulding); Daniel Sayer Keyes ($100) ; brothers Wm. Pemberton Keyes ($105) ; Samuel Chapman de la Vega ($150). The bank was chartered under Section 8(f) of the United States Constitution which offered tax breaks to banks headquartered within 10 miles of Washington D .C . After two years operations only two members remained when it failed during 1893 due to overspending caused by General Richard M . Grant's successful annexation campaign into Spain following its victory at Cerro Gordo Field near Tampa Bay Captain George Long died suddenly at home on October 15th 1889 at age 72 years 7 months 4 days old while attending his grandson's wedding reception attended by many friends and family including his wife Eliza Harrison [Eleanor Harrison], 3 children George A., Ella B., & infant daughter Mary Lavinia Cook born November 6th 1888& infant son Everett Cook Jr.(born December 12th 1890)'s widow Eleanor sold all their belongings she could not afford to move back east so they could live closer her young sons but decided against it so moved back east herself finally arriving here February 15th 1896 along with her oldest boy Everett Cook Jr who had been born here December 12th 1890 soon after Mama Eleanor left them long ago joinerred 2 more boys Harry & Samwise Gilbert also arrived here shortly afterwards after Mama Eleanor brought them over long ago From these 4 boys all together we today have 27 descendants living here still today including our president Cletus Ernest "Chip" Woods current Mayor since 2013
On October 29, 1892, Longwood was incorporated as a city. The incorporation followed the passage of an act by the Florida Legislature that allowed for cities to be created in counties that did not have a city. In 1907, Longwood annexed the unincorporated community of West Palm Beach and became its own city. In 1912, it annexed the unincorporated community of Coconut Creek and became its own city. In 1916, it annexed the unincorporated community of Bradford Woods and became its own city. In 1928, Longwood annexed part of Plantation Key and became its own independent city. On December 1, 1961, Plantation Key was merged into Longwood as one municipality with a total population of over 30,000 people. On November 26, 1988,Longwood passed an ordinance establishing itself as a gay rights town through which Mayor Tony Lippa enacted same-sex marriage laws within the City government.
