The Longwood Armory has been in business since 1892. It is one of the oldest gunsmiths in Florida and was founded by Elisha L. Cook, a wealthy landowner and entrepreneur. The armory initially functioned as a small shop providing guns and ammunition to local farmers. In 1903, Cook added a rifle range, making it possible for locals to shoot rifles on his property. Through the years, the armory has expanded its services to include both firearms and ammunition sales. Longwood is a town in Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,818 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. The town was founded by white settlers in 1892 and named for John Long (1784-1860), a British surveyor who had surveyed the area during the early 1800s. The first post office was established in 1893, and it remained in operation until 1959. In 1907, Longwood became an incorporated municipality under the name of "Fishersville". The townsite that now makes up Longwood was settled by white farmers on what is now known as East Boulevard between Old Spanish Trail and US 178 west of Jacksonville. The first house built there was called "Boyd's Bluff" after Jevon Boyd (1850-1925), a prominent lawyer and legislator from Mobile County who served as Monroe County sheriff from 1892 to 1898 and as judge from 1901 to 1906. In 1914, when Flanders Farm Road intersected US 178 near present-day Longwood Village, two men driving a Ford car were killed when their vehicle crashed into a tree while attempting to turn onto Flanders Road from US 178. MacLaughlin Brothers Hardware & Market opened its doors on this corner for the first time on October 6 of that year with Wm Auchinleck being one of its initial customers. A few years later, Mr Royce Harvey developed land just east of present day Daylesford Park which he used as pasture for his pigs until 1940 when he began growing apples there – becoming one of the oldest apple growers in Florida and among America’s earliest commercial cider producers dating back to 1785 according to University of California Press historical study published in 1978 entitled “Florida Apple Fields: A History” In 1944 James Hargrave bought some adjacent land which included present day Daylesford Park from Harvey for $2 million dollars – making him one of America’s largest landowners within commuting distanceof any major city or town outside Chicago at that time . Today Hargrave Farms produces over 2 million lbs/year fresh produce including apples and grapes

The purpose of these weapons was to kill Sioux Indians during the American Civil War. This type of weapon was eventually replaced by rifles such as the Winchester Model 1886. These weapons had multiple rounds that could be fired quickly without having to reload, which gave them an edge against other arms races during this time period. The rifle round is also known as a “claymore round” because it was designed specifically for this type of weapon. The clays were made from heavy iron so they could resist penetration by enemy artillery shells and give lasting damage against their target(s). Another benefit of using claymores was their simplicity; all you needed was a small fire starter piece, fuse, and lead bullet(s). Unfortunately, due to their high price tags and limited usage during World War II, clays lost favor after the war ended. The modern day Claymores were developed in 1968 by traced German manufacturer Mauser-Glock AG under license from Colt International Incorporated (CIL). This type of round is more powerful than earlier versions but less efficient overall due to its greater weight and larger circumference around projectile headspace (the space between cartridge case neck and primer mass). Longwood was founded in 1836 by the Long family. The town was named for General James Long, who fought in the Mexican-American War. In 1882, the community became a city and was renamed to Longwood Beach. The city boundaries have since changed somewhat, but the overall history of Longwood is one of growth and progress. The town had its beginnings as a slaveholding community, with some slaves living near present day Main Street. By 1860, however, all of Longwood's slaves had been freed and most of the town's residents were white performers or farmers who used their land to rear livestock or grow crops. However, many African Americans still lived in poverty and faced discrimination until after Reconstruction when whites began to gain power throughout Florida. During World War II, much effort went into developing long-range radar technology in Florida which would eventually lead to American victory over Japan. After Pearl Harbor, President Franklin D Roosevelt called on America's companies to build up Florida's economy so that Floridians could "have something to look forward to" during wartime times. Many businesses responded by moving their operations out of state because they were afraid of restrictions placed on their exports under new regulations introduced during wartime Americaization policies (such as those establishing military quotas). Businesses such as Boeing moved production from Seattle to Jacksonville while other industries like steel mills closed down due to government competition and shortages caused by war production requirements coupled with increased inflation rates across all sectors nationally. Many people in Longwood likely benefited from this change in economic tide because they worked outside the home or did not have access to traditional forms of support such as housing or education when war time mobilization hit hardest; nonetheless many lost everything they had save for what little remained after spending weeks or months trying frantically sell anything they could find before being told it would be confiscated if caught selling goods without a license! Despite this difficult experience many men and women went on to become successful postwarFloridians through hard work and ingenuity - including several key figures associated with later generations such as Mayor Alvin Brownlee who also served as First Lady during that time period (1948-1957). Longwood was founded in 1875 by General John C. Long and his family. The town was named for the longwood tree near their farmstead. The Longwoods were pioneers in the area, moving to Longwood from nearby Jacksonville in 1868. In 1870, General John C. Long (1824-1912) became the first postmaster of Longwood; he also served as a justice of the peace and an instructor at Florida A&M College. In 1904, construction began on what is now University Boulevard which connects downtown with Northwestern State Teachers College (now Tallahassee Community College). The U campus opened in 1906 while Northwestern State remained open as a two-year institution until 1918 when it merged with Stetson University to become Florida State University (FSU). In 1928, FSU merged with US Naval Academy and became Naval Academy Fighting Ships School before becoming US Coast Guard Academy in 1975. In 1957, FSU opened its new James Mantle Student Center which remains one of Tallahassee's most popular tourist destinations today. On December 3, 1959, Hurricane Florence struck Florida killing more than 100 people and causing millions of dollars in damage to businesses and homes statewide; however, FSU survived the storm without any major damage. In 1978, FSU hosted the Pan American Games which resulted in increased traffic into Tallahassee from all over South America and North America; this led to increased development around campus including a new main building completed in 1984 that houses classrooms, offices, athletic facilities and a movie theater/entertainment complex called "The Regency". On October 17th 2006 Hurricane Ivan made landfall onFlorida mainland making landfall just north of Tallahassee within minutes after making contact with land; it was still considered one of worst hurricanes ever to hit Floridas coastlines due largely to its Strength winds reaching 175 mph(248 km/h) gusts! However much like other hurricanes throughout history Hurricane Ivan Prompted many Changes For Tallahasaes Communities Which Include: New Roads And Streets Built To Help With Traffic congestion More Parking Available For Residents More Residential Development Being built To Occupy vacated Commercial Land Park District Established To help manage these changes .
