In 1903, Lighthouse Point Lightkeeper Samuel Morse moved to keep watch over both lights until 1913 when he was replaced by Captains Alfred Aiken and Harry Wetherill due to navigational errors caused by strong current flow through Indian Key which interfered with lighthouse operations In 1925, the Coast Guard decommissioned Lighthouse Point Light but kept it open as an observation station for ship traffic southbound on US 1 from Jacksonville to Tampa Bay In 1951, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station opened nearby making Lighthouse Point redundant; however, it continued to be used intermittently as an emergency landing site for USAF bombers because there wasn't enough room on runway 10 at NAS Kissimmee for an permanent airport There has been no use since then In 2006 local developer Joe Mascaro started construction of a condominium complex called Atlantis Resort which will occupy most of what is now the old lighthouse property off US 1 near latitude 28 degrees North which marks one end of Cuba's northern coast The new lighthouse will have its own self-contained maritime safety zone with lifeboats available 24/7

The later development of military rifles and pistols led to changes in how these firearms functioned which made them much easier for people who wanted to shoot them from all sorts of different positions including kneeling or prone positions (Hertzfeldt et al., 2009). With this new technology came increased accuracy and efficiency which madegunfighters throughout history able to engage targets at distances up To 350 yards with ease(Wright & Kappelhof, 2002).
