Ammunition production began again in the 1880s when a new factory was built. The company operated until about 1915, when it went out of business. Leesburg is a small town in the Miami-Dade County, Florida region. The population was 5,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. The first settler in Leesburg was John C. Lewis who built a cabin on land that now constitutes much of what is today Leesburg. He named his property "Leesburg" after his home country, Scotland. In 1836, General James K. Polk occupied the county seat and moved Leesburg to become its permanent capital, naming it after himself as well as for president Andrew Johnson's native state of Virginia (now Maryland). In 1837–38, Lousiana Govtrts War Dept established Camp Pickens here to supply supplies for Confederate forces fighting in the American Civil War; most of these troops were eventually honorably discharged here rather than returning to their home countries or Returning East during Reconstruction Crossroads years when such things could have been looked into more closely In 1886–87, two businessmen from Jacksonville interests – JF Baird & Sons and WG McMillan – organized what would become one of South Florida's leading citrus industries with help from entrepreneur JF Baird Sr.'s brother-in-law Julius Rosenwald Jr., then still alive and head of Sears Roebuck & Co.'s United States department store chain in Chicago One factor that led to this success was lack of competition: There were no other major citrus producers south of Tampa Bay until World War II when oranges started arriving from Mexico and Central America; also, market demand had shifted away from table fruit towards canned fruits during this time large tracts along I-95 became developed into suburban neighborhoods which are gradually becoming less diverse

In 1916, the United States Postal Service granted permission for a mail service to be established in Leesburg. The first boxcar arrived in Leesburg on October 7th, 1916. In 1925, when Hurricane Hazel hit Florida Keys Area (now Miami-Dade County), damage caused by the storm increased demand for food and gasoline from residents living near land that would become developed as citrus orchards and homesite farms. This resulted in an increase in economic development around Leesburg as farmers moved into central FL area to find new markets for their products following the storm’s landfall on September 15th 1925. Post Office activity increased even more with growth of businesses associated with agricultural production such as fruit packing plants (later absorbed into larger companies), feed mills and other textiles interests which would continue until about 1970s during hard times for those businesses due to changes brought about by technology advances eases competition etcetera
Leesburg is a town in Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population was 8,567 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1835 by J.C. Lees as a steamboat landing on the St. Johns River and became an agricultural community before becoming a manufacturing center for citrus fruits and other crops during the 1920s and 1930s.
