As technology grew more advanced and better options became available for shooting targets, Target Holder Society began to form in 1901 with Captain John Tonge as president. The first modern Target Holder Society event was held in 1903 when 150 shooters from all over South Florida gathered at Miami Beach for an exhibition game that was won by Captains James A White and Edwin Fenton of the USS Maine (1896). In 1911, Target Holder Society hosted their third annual meeting which is now considered to be their biggest event ever with 1500 shooters attending from across the state of Florida and many other states including California, Texas, Illinois, New York City and Canada! At this meeting they decided to start using lighted arrows instead of traditional gunslingers bows as projectiles for their games which led to rapid growth in the sport across all levels! At this point Target Holder Society had evolved into what we know today as The National Shooting Association (NSA) - one of the largest sports organizations on Earth! In 1916 both Captains John Tonge and Harry Hoskins resigned from NSA due to differences within the organization regarding pursuing international competition opportunities outside United States borders - a topic that would later be explored by futureTargetHolderSociety President Rick Majerus! Their decision not pursue any international competitions effectively put an end to Target Holder Society’s official status until circa 1968 when they reactivated themselves under new leadership – again through re-establishment of The National Shooting Association (NSA)!). From then on it was essentially just another name change for various American Sports Clubs hosting Annual Meetings/Events related thereto throughout South Florida...until finally being disbanded altogether in 1998 following Operation Desert Storm!

A large shopping center called Century City evolved in what is now Park Boulevard between Lauderhill Road and I-95/I-10 (now Krome Avenue), which attracted larger retailers such as Sears Roebuck & Co., Macy’s Inc., JCPenney Inc., Steinway & Sons Piano Company, Wacoal USA Inc., Ford Motor Company, among others. An amusement park called Knott’s Berry Farm opened in 1966 along with an aquarium called Hollywood Aquarium outside of Century City mall complex near Interstate 95/I-10 exit 10 (now Sunrise Highway) just south of Parkway Boulevard intersection
Lauderdale Lakes was founded in 1927 by Colonel John H. Lauderdale and Dr. Harry C. Watson. The town is named after the lakes that surround it, which are located in Polk County, Florida. The town's first store was opened in 1928 at the corner of SR 4 and US 1A. In 1937, the county seat of Polk County was moved to Lauderdale Lakes from Ocala and the original courthouse building was destroyed in a fire two years later. The current courthouse building replaced the old one during the 1990s. The population of Lauderdale Lakes grew rapidly beginning around World War II due to its location near several military bases and its close proximity to Tampa Bay Naval Base and other naval installations.
