In 1939, Milton Sussman opened what would become one of Largo's most popular restaurants – Sussman's Federal with its lovely brick exterior and spacious interior courtyard seating up to 350 diners – which has been continuously operating since then! In 1951, Don & Marilyn Day bought Henson's Grocery from Wm Henson Jr.'s widow and continue operations as Don & Marilyn Day's Gourmet Store until they closed their doors in 1984 due to rising costs associated with running a successful restaurant chain during an economic recession! Largo has also been home to other famous residents over the years such as singer Elvis Presley and actor Clint Eastwood who both lived here during their careers[2].
