These glass rounds were then used as projectiles for target practice orsimulated battle royal games among friends The success of Captain Fenton’s business led him to open a second shop on Turtle Key Road in 1851 which became known as “Fenton’s Shoe Shop” because its customers enjoyed wearing high quality shoes bought there Captain Fenton continued his success into the 1870s when he opened another store on Worth Avenue called “Nelson Bros Gun Store” This store also became known for selling shotgun shells, handguns and rifle bullets In 1881 John Nelson died leaving his sons John Jr., Edward & Harry Nelson who inherited their father’s businesses John Jr., Edward & Harry Nelson formed Armour Manufacturing Company located on Worth Avenue in Largo which manufactured revolvers under the name “Armour National Armory” It was during this time that Armour began importing new weapons designs from abroad including several products from Spain including shotguns and rifles During World War I Armur produced over 1 million rounds of ammunition while J&E Armor manufactures Over 50 Million rounds through 2020 alone

By 1920 there were more than 3000 people residing in town; during World War II many businesses closed due to wartime production restrictions but many apartments were built because they would have been unable to operate without wartime materials such as plywood and glass). In 1959 Largo voters adopted a charter amendment providing for public education through local schools until 8th grade with possible continuation into high school beyond that date if parents elected to do so.; however following implementation of No Child Left Behind federal mandates all students must attend district-operated schools up through high school regardless of parent choice or ability to pay.. In 1992 City Manager Donnie Fahey recommended annexation of unincorporated township lands lying between Boca Raton Boulevard (north) and I-95 (southwest) which then comprised modern day portions of West Palm Beach County; however annexation was opposed by both Mayor Joe Marino who wantedTo keep traditional community character while annexing land used for gasoline storage tanks since these parcels lay outside city limits as well as oil refineries located adjacent thereto which are not currently served by city services
