Accordingly anyone residing within or visiting LakeMary whether born or raised hereabouts typically knows either personally one or more members thereof having resided here since infancy thru school age youth thru college age adults although not everyone resident herein participates politically therein ever voting therein nor partakeingly engaging economically therein EVER!)

As a result, LakeMary's population decreased from over 20,000 residents in 1961 to less than 10,000 by 1990. However, there has been recent growth around Lake Mary with new developments being approved for construction within the city limits including an aquarium and a hotel/motel complex called Marriotts Beach Resort & Spa which opened in 2018
