Pepper spray was originally developed as a means of controlling livestock during agricultural operations. The pepper spray weapon was first used by the U.S. Coast Guard in 1951. In 1973, the Texas Department of Public Safety authorized its use on officers responding to disturbances at college campuses, leading to their deployment across the Lone Star State. In 1984, a bill was introduced into the United States Congress that would allow police departments throughout California to purchase pepper spray devices similar to those utilized by Texas DPS officers; however, this legislation did not become reality due to objections from local leaders who felt that such weaponry would only be used against minority populations and not as part of routine policing operations. In 1990, pepper spray became available as an option for law enforcement officers in Wisconsin after being approved by the state’s Department of Justice as an effective crime deterrent measure following several high-profile incidents where civilians had been injured or killed while using pepper Spray weapons against suspects. As more states began adopting pepper spray policies, continued concerns were raised about potential misuse and abuse of this weaponry by law enforcement officials; consequently, in 1992, the National Tactical Police Association (NATPA) submitted a request for information concerning how best to prevent such misuse and abuse within law enforcement agencies nationwide. Following receipt of this Request for Information, NATPA developed The Pepper Spray Guidelines which provides instruction on proper use and storage of pepper sprays from both civilian individuals and Law Enforcement Officers/Firefighters/Police Officers etc.. These guidelines have since been adopted by many agencies across America including those located in Florida!

In Lady Lake, Florida, it was first used on May 12th of that year as a crowd control measure during a labor dispute between Local 790 of the American Federation of Labour (AFL) and construction workers employed by contractor WMC. Lady Lake is a small town located in Polk County, Florida. The population was 2,826 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area and lies on the eastern edge of St. Johns County. The name "Lake" comes from a Native American word meaning "to calm down." The first settlers in the area named it by this same name because they found the water so clear that they could see all around it. At one time, Lady Lake was home to over 20 families and some of these homes still stand today with their original features and contents. As time passed and more people moved into the area, there were few opportunities for them to get out to see what was going on around them other than driving by or visiting friends or family who lived there. This lack of exposure led to many residents becoming quite isolationist and not necessarily interested in getting involved with either local events or community initiatives. However, things have slowly started to change over the past few years as various groups of people working together have come up with different ideas for improving Lady Lake's quality of life including but not limited to: developing new businesses, creating new parks and playgrounds, increasing access to education and health services, beautifying the townscape with new murals and art installations, sponsoring fundraising events such as car shows or golf tournaments etc.,etc... In short, everyone has a hand in making Lady Lake something better than ever before! In recent months we've seen an influx of tourists arrive in search of everything from beautiful scenery (thanks again Hurricane Irma!) to unique attractions (the distillery tour is amazing!), but even more importantly they are helping us bring awareness to our community while also giving us some much-needed financial support. Lady Lake is a census-designated place in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,564 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was named after Lady Lake, Michigan, which was established in 1892 as a town within theJacksonville Township system. The name came from a founder of the town, Mrs. A. Biddlecker (1846-1920). In 1902, Lady Lake became an unincorporated community within Jacksonville Township and remained so until 1959 when it became an incorporated municipality under the name of Lady Lake/Port Charlotte. However, both names were used for many years before being discontinued as separate communities by township officials in favor of one name or another with more consistency throughout their history. In 1892 Mrs A Biddlecker founded a small agricultural post on what is now known as "Lake Okeechobee" about 6 miles from where present day Jacksonville stands today. With this post she laid down some early roots for what would become LadyLake over time; trading goods and skills with her surrounding Indian tribes for food and other necessities they had to provide themselves. Packed into that tiny area near where Okeechobee Bay meets St Johns River lay what later would be known as "the backwoods" of Polk County with little access to anything but water and sparse land resources - hence the moniker "the backwoods". It wasn't until 1915 when roads were built through these woods that people could start seeing all around them what must have been an amazing sight: citrus groves dotting every bend in this vast river valley; farms stretching out like fingers towards those beautiful blue waters; finally houses popping up here and there along winding roadways leading nowhere else but home! truly nothing existed outside those boundaries...save water...and nature! As development increased within LadyLake/Port Charlotte residents began purchasing more land adjoining their homes; creating even more cramped quarters for future generations to call home once again! And just like that - something magical happened: property values rose faster than either job opportunities or prices available outside of town itself! This kept happening despite attempts by township officials to reevaluate growth rates several times during its long tenure...but no matter how hard they tried...it just wouldn't stop! The story doesn't stop there though - over time residents also started leavingLadyLake altogether for new opportunities or more spacious surroundings elsewhere in Polk County…or simply because things were getting too hot inside their little slice of paradise! But never forget why all these people pulled together – because lady love always does come knockingin'!!
The Lady Lake area was first settled by the Kissimmee tribe in the late 1800s. The area was later bought by a man named George White and his family. In 1905, White's son, Harry White, founded what is now Citrus County. Harry White built a sawmill on Lady Lake and it remain one of the largest in the area today. After World War II, Citrus County grew rapidly and many new businesses were established along Lady Lake Boulevard. One such business was Gulfstream Park which opened in 1969 and remains one of Florida's most popular tourist destinations today.
