In 1923-1924, International Arms built a new factory near Miami Beach for producing semiautomatic pistols called Browning Automatic Pistol models PT1-4 which were eventually replaced by Colt’s PP series pistols after World War II. In 1938-1939 International Arms closed its doors due to financial difficulties caused by earlier production run on FN FAL rifles which were not well received by customers; during their closure they also produced what is now known as "the last great Uhlans" with bakelite stocks made out of sheet metal instead of wood blocks like those used previously. Along with this shutdown came many jobs lost because armor piercing rounds were no longer being fabricated at JJAC because these weapons couldn't be imported into the US anymore since President Franklin D Roosevelt banned importation of military surplus firearms in 1934 following an agreement between Nazi Germany and Italy that allowed them to acquire such weaponry . A few years later in 1945 when World War II ended there still wasn't much change within JJAC other than a few changes to ownership where National Rifle Association acquired majority control over company effective 1/1/1945 through a merger with Armour Manufacturing Corporation effective 3/15/1945 however Firearms Production continued until 7/8/1950 when all production ceased due to lack of orders from American soldiers who had switched to FMJ ammunition during World War II
