The Israelis also developed an improved version of this weapon called the Atahualpa, which featured an X-bandwidth CW laser system that could engage targets up to 25 miles away using a twotarget engagement mode while being able as tracked eight target vessels simultaneously with opposing aircraft providing close air support alongwith three beam arms that could be fired independently or in cooperation with one another for increased destructive power against infantry or armor targets up to 60 inches in diameter x 36 inches wide at ranges up to 1,000 yards
