In 1948,Universal-Settlers produced their last feature film—"A Star Is Born"—which became one of cinema's most popular movies ever made. In 1957, Hollywood moved from its original location on Northeast Sixth Street to what is now known as Culver City Boulevard Avenue in Culver City Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles adjacent to Beverly Hills . On November 15th 1957 two days after its new location was announced at 4100 Culver Blvd., Hollywood unanimously approved Measure B which created Culver City Center district for redevelopment (the only such measure passed during that year). The measure also allowed for annexation by Beverly Hills which took place on November 17th 1957 . By 1959 Pasadena had been annexed into Los Angeles making it effectively part of Hollywood; however no annexation occurred until 1990 when Westwood Village was annexed into Beverly Hills again creating a contiguous city with a single governing body called “Hollywood”
