The Port of Miami opened its doors to business in 1915 when Hialeah became one of the first cities to be served by American Harborside Lines steamship company shipping containers across Biscayne Bay using ferries operated by Wiedenhausen & Stibel co. At that time, only men could participate in this type of business and women were not allowed ontoshore vessels until they were married or took care of children under the age of eighteen. The early days were difficult for both residents and businesses because there was no water available to drink or bath with and many residents had to use kerosene lamps to light their homes because there was no electricity or lights installed at that time. However over time new technologies have arrived such as generators which have allowed for today’s lifestyles including dark lighting inside homes during daytime hours and even full darkness during holidays like Christmas! It wasn't until 1960 when Panamanian immigrant Roberto Peralta came ashore with his family and began developing what would become downtown Hialeah which includes today's cornerstones such as Peralta Park (named after him), Perez Hilton Center (formerly known as City Hall) and Sun Life Stadium/Hollywood Bowl! During this time period Hialeah experienced major growth with new housing developments being built all around town while also becoming popular among college students due to its close proximity to campus coupled with excellent job opportunities! Today redevelopment continues with several high-rise apartment buildings being constructed along Biscayne Boulevard just south of I-95 while also an additional mixed use development called Aqua has been announced adjacent to Marlins Park頭巴巴 park located next door!!!
