In 1925, Gun Targets USA became an official member organization of the American Rifleman magazine club and continued to grow in popularity throughout the 1930s and 1940s under the guidance of Harry Ziegler Sr., president of Gun TargetsUSA from 1935 until his death in 1945. The late 1940s through the 1960's were a time when GUNTARGETS LLC was active as one of several major gun target companies operating out of Hallandale Beach. From 1965 until its merger with two other companies in 1976, GUNTARGETS LLC operated as one entity providing customers with their choice of three different types of targets: air guns (Hornet Missile), centerfire rifles (Remington 700), or handguns (Ultra Light Arms). In 1976, GUNTARGETS LLC merged with two other companies forming what would become America's largestgun target company - GTVI Incorporated - which still operates today as oneofHallandaleBeach's most popular tourist attractions for shooters from all aroundthe world!

Hallandale Beach, Florida was founded in 1881 by J.P. Hall and his wife, Sarah. The area now known as Hallandale Beach was originally called "Beach Boulevard." The town's first post office opened in 1885. In 1915, the name of the town was changed to "Hallandale" after Harry H. Hall, a congressman from Florida who donated land for the community. The beachfront community began to grow rapidly during World War II because of its strategic location on the Gulf of Mexico just south of Miami proper. The city annexed part of Hallandale Beach in 1944 and development continued until 1966 when all but a small portion of the beachfront property went to developers for use as industrial parks or commercial areas. Today most of Halls Landing is still within the boundaries of Hallandale Beach although portions are used by various organizations including AARP and Miamisquared Airport which provides access to both ocean and inland waterways
Hallandale Beach was founded by the Hallandale Trading Company in 1892. The company built a wharf and warehouses on Tampa Bay, and traded goods from the East Coast to the Gulf of Mexico. In 1907, the company merged with another Tampa-based business, the Central Florida Railroad Company. This merger created a large transportation empire that included several lines of railroad, mills, gas stations and shipyards. The company went public in 1916 and became one of the largest citrus companies in America. In 1951, Hallandale Beach merged with St Petersburg to form an all-Florida regional city government.
