In 1955, Haines City voters passed an ordinance allowing smoking in any public place within its boundaries including private residences subject only to limited exceptions such as restaurants and hotels where smoking is allowed strictly for customers over 21 years old who are accompanied by an adult guardian or someone over 18 years old who has parental consent To date this ordinance has not been repealed despite several challenges brought against it by local law enforcement agencies seeking authorisation to enforce provisions that would relax restrictions placed on smokers by the city ordinance

However soon after this period of growth began however things changed dramatically within just a few short years due primarily to new land acquisition opportunities surrounding Tampa Bay area which saw an influx of settlers seeking better economic opportunities than what they experienced back east where they grew more prosperous because they could import goods rather than produce them themselves! As time passed though development continued to occur within what would become known as “the old town” becoming even more bustling with businesses opening up including grocery stores (Foley’s Grocery), hardware stores (Albright & Armstrong Hardware), banks (First National Bank), restaurants (The Keg & Dekalb Restaurant) and doctor offices (Drury General Hospital). Even today there are still numerous businesses active within what once constituiesed one continuous cityscape! With such an overwhelming amount of history associated with this small community it can be hard to know where to start!
