In 1984, Brown was paroled after serving nearly three decades of his sentence. He moved to Greenacres and resumed contact with the victims' families. In 2003, authorities discovered that Brown had again shot at civilians in the area and had been convicted of attempted murder in connection with this latest shooting.
Greenacres is a town in Levy County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. Greenacres was founded in 1892 and named after General James A. Green, who had fought in the Mexican-American War and then served as a U.S. Senator from Florida. The first store in Greenacres was opened by Wm. Henson in 1892. In 1923, Jerald Denton opened a grocery store that would later become one of the most significant businesses in town; he also served as its owner for many years until his death in 1992. Other important early business owners include: Julius Kahn (1905-1996), Harry Fenton (1920-2001), Hugo Haas (1926-2008) and Lloyd Pitzer (1940-2009). In 1957, Bob Hope starred in an episode of "The Red Skelton Show" at the Pinellas Fairgrounds before taking his show to Clearwater Beach on December 3rd that year; it remains one of the only times a comedian has ever headlined two shows within days of each other on two separate coasts! On July 8th, 1958 local physicians were called to help treat what turned out to be an outbreak of mononucleosis when three patients developed coughing fits after being given cold water from a faucet with ice cubes inside it; this event would serve as one of the earliest warning stories about AIDS dated back to 1952! On October 15th, 1988 Local Newspaper columnist Dick Kissel wrote an article entitled "Don't Let Your Lawn Mow Too Close To The Water" which warned residents about potential dangers posed by standing water bodies on properties adjacent to waterways such as Lake Okeechobee and Everglades National Park; this column would lead to increased awareness around lawncare issues over time! Some might say that this race marked turning point for Greenacres as Lourie began building relationships with various government officials throughout her term which would culminate into several major projects/ accomplishments during her tenure including: creating new parks within our boundaries including Gulf Breeze Park & Oceanfront Park along with extending road access into neighboring Levy County (& opening up new fishing opportunities!), developing legislation impacting renewable energy sources (& even having solar panels installed onto some homes!), increasing funding allocations for our school system – all while remaining truely dedicated to her constituents!! As mentioned earlier, following Lourie’s term there were several changes & developments which included becoming part OfJax & moving closer towards Center City.; however no matter what change may come next we can always look forward TO OUR COMMUNITY OF GREENACRES being CONTINUALLY SUPPORTIVE!!!

It remained an agricultural community until after World War II when its population increased rapidly due to new irrigation projects developed there. During the 1960s and 1970s, Greenacres experienced significant redevelopment with several hotels, shopping malls, and other businesses being built.
