Greenacres is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,101 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Gainesville-Lakeland, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town's name comes from "Green Acres", a large tract of land that served as an agricultural area until after World War II when the Tallahassee Naval Air Station became available and development took hold around it. Greenacres is now known for its shopping center and golf course which are located on State Road 714 (CR 714). The original settlers in what is now Greenacres were white men who purchased about of land from the Creek Indians in 1819. They named their new community "New Town" because they did not have any other options at the time. By 1830, some African Americans had moved to Greenacres and by 1840 there were six black families living here. In 1851, James Gribbon boughtadda (now CR 714) from Captain John Keyworth and founded Keyworth Plantation near present-day CR 714 and US 71A (later SR 770), becoming one of north Polk County's earliest landowners. He continued to own this property until his death in 1907; it later passed through several hands before being donated to the University of South Florida for use as a research plantation during World War I. In 1903, Julius Rosenwald acquired most of east Polk County including parts of what is now Greenacres from Captain John Keyworth for $1 million dollars, making him one of America's first millionaire farmers; he also funded much important early educational work in south Polk County. Rosenwald soon built one of America's largest cotton plantations there – Redman’s Mills – with over 1 million acres cultivated between 1903 and 1914 alone; today it still crops caffeine beans and corn while also housing several thousand people on thirty-six farms west of Lakeland proper. Greenacres is a small town in southern Florida, located about 15 miles east of Tampa. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa-St Petersburg-Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Greenacres were the Spanish in 1763. They named it Villa de la Concepción (Concepcion's Villa). In 1821, Captain James Cook discovered and named Pinellas Key after his ship HMS Discovery while sailing through this area on his return from his circumnavigation of the world. The key was later sold by Spain to US interests and became known as Key West. In 1892, Greenacres became a county seat of Hillsborough County when it was organized from parts of Tampa and St Pete Beach counties. The name "Greenacres" originated with John Dickey who settled there in 1827 and built a cotton plantation called "Dickey's Landing". In 1898, J P Morgan bought Dickey's land and started construction on what would become Morgan Home Place which he called "The White House". In 1906, Mrs W K Polk donated $5,000 towards building an elementary school in memory of her late husband who had served as Hillsborough County treasurer that year. Construction began in 1907 but progress was slow due to World War I hostilities. On December 12th, 1942 (the date after Pearl Harbor), during World War II, local residents helped load munitions onto USS Missouri at nearby Clearwater Naval Shipyard for delivery to Japan via submarine USS Tigerfish . As Forrest Gump pointed out: "It wasn't until after Pearl Harbor that we realized all these weapons were going into Japan - so our town got its start right there!" A modern day reminder of that fateful day can be found at Clearwater Naval Shipyard where USS Missouri (LHD 9) now sits moored off the port side courtyard leading into the WWII Museum

In 1978, CGI merged with Pernod Ricard Group and became Pepsi-Cola Americas Incorporated (PEPI). When PEPI merged with Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, both brands were combined under one corporate name – Anheuser-Busch InBev US Holdings LLC (ABIH).
