The first shooting contest held in Ft Walton Beach took place on September 26th of that year and resulted in a victory for NRA member John Gentry with an all-new rifle called the “Gentleman’s Armament Model 1911” (later renamed the Colt M1911). Gun magazines continued to be established throughout World War II and into the postwar years. However, during those years they were typically located at armories or military bases where they were used primarily for storing weapons rather than providing firepower to local citizens or defense initiatives like parades or civic events. After World War II ended, gun magazines began to reappear more frequently within Fort Walton Beach as civilians began using them more regularly for self-defense purposes; however, they generally remained limited to small arms usage until finally being phased out altogether around 1970 when handguns became more common within the community

In 1892, John Browning developed what is now know as the Garand Rifle which became popular due its simplicity and ease of use. It consisted of a barrel that was inserted into a receiver that was attached directly to the gun stock via means of screws and brackets. This meant that there was no need for any kind of manual loading system or Loading Rods like earlier rifles did; all you needed do was insert the barrel into your firearm and pull out your Rounds! This innovation ledto increased popularity for handguns such as pistols and revolvers because people could now enjoy using them without fear of malfunction or injury caused by incorrect loading practices

James Wainwright, who had been a part of the first military expedition against Fort Walton Island in 1794. The fort served as a supply depot and garrison until 1824 when it was decommissioned and sold to the government for use as a naval base. It reopened as a post in 1848 and remained an active military installation until it was closed in 1959.
