Bipedalism has been present in human society for over 10,000 years. The first bipedal humans were those that lived in the Middle East about 10,000 years ago. In North America, there are records of humans walking on two legs around 350 BC. Thereafter, bipedality spread to many parts of the world. Some believe that the modern day form of bipedality is a result of 2 separate events- one being the development of technology that allowed us to walk on two legs and the other being when people started using horses as transportation. As bipedality spread throughout humanity, it also led to different ways in which people interacted with each other and their environment. For example, during times where bipedality was rare or not present, people would use pairs or groups of individuals as a unit to interact with their environment- this is known as an extended group interaction. However, when bipedality became more prevalent and common through technological advancements such as cars and airplanes- people began interacting individualically with each other instead of within a group setting. This break from traditional group interactions happened due to our natural ability to think better than average and process information faster when we are alone- something known as “the lone wolf Syndrome” (Fenton & Fenton 2003). While some may argue that this shift in behavior was good for society because it made communication easier- it also created new problems such as social ostracism (Lambert 2006). The history of Fort Lauderdale dates back to 1876 when Fort Lauderdale was founded by Captain James Wofford on land donated by Colonel John Pimentel (1825 – 1896). At its peak in 1907 Fort Lauderdale had a population of 1007 residents while today it has a population under 1000 residents. During its time Fort Lauderdale was home to several businesses including hotels, restaurants, bars and nightlife destinations such as The Boardwalk Empire amusement park which still stands today! Additionally, Fort Lauderdale played an important role during World War II due to its location at mouth of Everglades River which helped provide food for soldiers stationed near Florida (Drake 2007).

In 1893–1894 Sanford A. Wyeth designed and built what is now called Wyeth House on Oneonta Avenue in downtown Fort Lauderdale; this house served as both Wyeth's private office (now home to art galleries) from 1893 until his death in 1915 and also housed governmental offices used by both Broward County Commissioners Court (the court then moved into nearby Sun Life Stadium) until 1973[1] when those offices were moved across county lines to Coral Gables (then new Palm Beach County). In 1926 John Loder bought land at Oneonta Avenue for $4 million[2] which he named Loder Park after himself – later renamed Miracle Mile because only Miracles could be found there – creating one of South Florida's earliest neighborhoods distinct from downtownMiami proper.[3][4][5] By 1933 Loder had acquired additional property at Sunrise Boulevard &Broward Boulevard where he erected his famous white picket fence Estate,[6][7] now known collectively as Worth Place[] 8 miles long with more than 300 houses including many former millionaires' mansions dating back to before World War I†††† During World War II FtLauderdale became an important naval air base providing fighter planes with aerial refueling opportunities while also housing other military units such as radar installations [*8], Navy Supply Depot(*9), Army Aviation Plant(*10), ammunition storage areas (*11), barracks*12 [*13],[14] hospital*15*, [16][17], cargo vessels*18 [(19)]‡‡ * denotes structures that have been demolished or removed
