Bullets are still used today to kill animals and people. In 1935, the US Congress passed the National Firearms Act which regulated the sale, distribution, and use of firearms. This act created the National Rifle Association (NRA) which lobbied for more regulation on bullets. In 1938, George Ballinger invented a bullet that could be shot through a metal object such as a door handle. This bullet was called the “Ballinger Bullet” because it was developed by George Ballinger at his company, Ballinger Bullets Corporation. In 1959, Jack Marlin began producing rifle rounds that were filled with lead balls instead of powder and this led to increased demand for bullets made from lead balls. In 1966, Bob Ruger introduced his 6mm ammunition which was inspired by ballistics data he had gathered while working on his own rifle round designs. The 6mm ammo became very popular and is still used today in many guns and hunting cartridges

Florida City is the most populous city in Pensacola County, Florida and the county seat of Santa Rosa County. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 169,362. The city was founded on December 12, 1887 by Gen. John C. Frémont as a trading post between Mobile and Pensacola. On May 8, 1912, Florida City became an incorporated municipality with a population of 409 people. In 1916-1917, the town was destroyed in a fire that killed twenty people and destroyed over one hundred homes. The city rebuilt quickly and by 1920 had a population of 5,000 people. After World War II came to Florida City and its economy boomed due to military construction projects such as Fort Walton Beach's first airbase (now Don Shula Stadium). The postwar boom ended when laissez faire economic policies from then-Governor Bob Graham caused job losses in many industries including defense-related jobs during the 1970s recession which led to budget cuts for coastal cities such as Pensacola and Gainesville; however, businesses did not leave Florida City until after re-election of Gov. Jeb Bush in 1994 increased state funding for coastal cities through the Community Development Block Grant program In recent years there has been growth among retirees living near Interstate 10 who are attracted to Pensacola's low cost of living combined with its easy access to both public transportation options and wide range of cultural attractions The Historic District encompasses eighty percent or more of downtown Florida City’s signature architecture from different periods between 1887-1924 inclusive. It is also home to some significant artifacts from prior Seminole Indian Wars skirmishes that took place in nearby Fannin County beginning in 1794: Battle of Palo Alto occurred on February 6th 1814 at what is now known as Eustis Creek adjacent property now part of State Road 3 south (then US 1) about eastof present day Government Plaza; Palo Alto Siege began on November 30th 1800 where British Lt Col John Tryon attacked Spanish Captain Manuel Fernandez y Gomez located just south eastofpresent day Old Town Cemetery approximately northwestof present day Tampa Bay Bridge ; two days later another battle ensued northeast off modern day US Highway 98 between Spanish Captains Francisco de Anchura Lopez & José Escobar de Armas(both Mexican) aftermathingthe failed attempt by Lt Col Tryon to march his army around bendInyo River eastbound pastmodern day Hillsborough Avenue – all fought within two miles or so today’s boundaries Of course other events scheduled throughout those years too can be found within this district suchas various stages & results associated with Seminole Wars

Florida City was founded in 1841 by Captain James Wilkinson as a trading post on the St. Johns River. It quickly became an important center for cotton and other exports, and it soon had a large population. The city grew rapidly, and by 1884 it had reached its present size. In that year, Florida City passed into state hands and became part of Jacksonville, Florida. The city experienced several periods of growth and development during its early years, but it eventually lost much of its importance due to competition from Jacksonville. However, Florida City has continued to maintain a strong cultural presence through its annual festivals and events. Today, Florida City is an active community with many businesses and residents who continue to make the city their home.
In 1837, Captain John St.John’s sailing vessel, the Florida City was wrecked on a reef in the Gulf of Mexico. A group of men made a successful search for survivors but only four returned to Jacksonville with news of the wreck and their findings. One of the survivors, Capt. St.John himself, became an important part of Jacksonville’s history as he chronicled his experiences during his recovery voyage in a book entitled The Florida City Voyage (1839).
