Throughout its lifespan at American Optical Corporation, Precision Instrument Manufacturing produced a large number of scopes and binoculars for sale throughout North America. Among these products were many notable models which helped set Precision Instruments apart as a leading manufacturer of optics in the United States. One such model was the “P” series pre-amplifier spectrometer which became popular among astronomers during the mid-20th century. Other keymodels from American Optical Corporation include the “AO” telescope mount (which remains popular today), the high performance monochrome camera system (HPCS), and America's first digital camera system (DACS). American Optical Corporation folded after its merger with Precision Instrument Manufacturing in 1970; however, their legacy is still felt today through several prominent brands within optics: Leica Microsystems USA Inc., Bushnell OpticsUSA Inc., Celestron/Leica Camera USA Inc., Swarovski USA Inc., Rheinische Makroscopicke AG & Co KGaA (later Rohde & Schwarz AG) - all three companies are headquartered in nearby Fort Lauderdale – as well as dozens of other manufacturers who make precision optics products worldwide.

By 1974, however, it had shrunk to just 15 residents due to pollution from oil wells operations in the area. In 1984, Fernandina was absorbed into Pensacola as part of a larger community consolidation effort within the state of Florida. Today’s Fernandina Beach has evolved into one of the most luxurious communities on Florida’s panhandle thanks to its picturesque white sand beaches and pristine environment. Fernandina Beach is one of two townships in Miami-Dade County and it was established on November 15, 1892. The other township is Kendall Park which was established on December 8, 1892. The first inhabitants of Fernandina Beach were Native American people who had been living there for centuries before that. They built their homes out of logs and earth when they first arrived in this part of South Florida. The name Fernandina comes from a small island near the beach where they stored their goods during the wintertime. There are several stories about how this name came to be used hereabouts; one says that a man named Fernandinha saw someone fishing and decided to give him some fish instead of getting his own food because he knew what it felt like to catch fish by himself. Another version story has it that a man named Francisco de la Torre discovered oil hereabouts while exploration for oil wells was going on nearby and decided to name his new municipality after the oil discovery! Eventually, many different tribes settled around here including the Seminole and Alachua people; these groups intermarried with each other over time creating various cultures within our community today. Some believe that we are actually descended from Spanish settlers who landed at this location in 1565! After staying awhile among these natives, they eventually left due to harsh conditions back then as well as religious persecution by Spanish missionaries which led to many deaths! Consequently, our ancestors were able to start anew here – starting with us! In 1892 when Fernandina Beach became an official township within Miami-Dade County, it did so under guidance of Judge John Fenton whose wife was originally from Fort Myers (which is now Fort Lauderdale). Judge Fenton wanted a more permanent home for his wife’s family since they had been living intermittently in Key West since her parents moved there when she was young girl. He also wanted something close enough to go shopping at local businesses but far enough away so that he could still visit them every week during vacation season! Judge Fenton soon found success with building his house on State Road 7 just outside present day Fernandina Beach proper – complete with white picket fences andvavelian porch – all designed by himself using techniques learned while working construction jobs on various downtown properties back then!
