The Eustis Rifle and Pistol Club was organized in 1900. The club’s first meeting was held on October 7th, at the home of Mrs. Geo. Witherspoon. The club quickly became a force to be reckoned with in the area, and soon had correspondence courses, rifle tournaments, and other events scheduled. In 1911, the club purchased a new house on Clearwater Boulevard in Eustis for use as their clubhouse and shooting range. In 1916, the club added a second floor to the house for storage purposes. In 1922, the club purchased an additional piece of property located between Old Town Road and Hwy 101 in Eustis for use as their shooting range and clubhouse. In 1933, the club acquired land on Clearwater Boulevard north of Hwy 101 which they used as their shooting range until 1934 when they moved to their current location on SW 2nd Street in Eustis.

Webster soon began construction on his home at 12th Street and Howell Avenue - one of Tampa's first upscale residences. With a population of only 100 people in 1850, growth started slowly but steadily over the next few decades as public works were completed such as a school and post office. In 1860-1861, following annexation by Tampa Bay Colony (later Hillsborough County), new development took place along Bay Boulevard with warehouses and mills opening up around Eustis Creekmouth Industrial Park which served as an important transportation hub for local farmers and traders. This area would become known for its preserved buildings including Grays Harbor steamboat landing which still stands today at 601 Bay Boulevard NE.. The late 1800s saw growth thanks to agricultural production – citrus fruit being especially lucrative – while new industries such as printing were established during this time period. However it was World War I that truly marked the beginning of commercial success for Eusterians with 2 million soldiers coming through town! After hostilities ended in 1918 things slowed down again until World War II when outright war hysteria led to another boom period in terms of industry with munitions manufacturing becoming extremely popular; however economic troubles struck during this time; nevertheless census figures indicate that there are few if any parallels between prewar/warEusterian wealth levels (less than $1 per capita) compared to postwar levels ($9 per capita). Priorto repeal efforts starting in earnest by then Governor Jeb Bush (R), significant progress had been made towards restoring some lost social fabric due mostly to volunteer work programs initiated by then Mayor Forrest Sawyer followed by carpetbaggers like Al Gore Sr who helped turn muchofthe city around during his tenure; however much more needs to be done if we are goingto maintain our AAA quality rating sheet according as ourselves!
