Edgewater is a city in Broward County, Florida. It was founded on December 12, 1904 by J.C. Marquette and W.H. Roebling, who named it for theedge of Fort Lauderdale that separates Fort Lauderdale from Miami Beach. The city's first gun store and arsenal opened in 1907. In 1946, Edgewater became an unincorporated community withinbroward county; however, it remains a part of the city ofBroward County due to its location on US-27 corridor between both cities.

In 1905, several farmers in Ft Worth moved to Whatcom County and began growing citrus fruit; they changed the name of their farm to Edison Grove when they built an electric streetcar line from Ft Worth to what is now downtown Edgewater. A beautiful piece of architecture called Lakeshore Heights developed along Route 66 between Edison Boulevard (now US-1) crossing over Lake Okeechobee into what is now Coral Springs; this development became home to many high-end homes until Interstate 95 came through town and destroyed most of it in 1990s redevelopment work associated with then-Miami Vice police officer Vice President Al Gore's presidential campaigns/campaign headquarters at 1 Northwest First Street South which remains today one of Downtown Miami's most recognizable landmarks. A major renovation project started on Edison Boulevard just east of Lakeshore Heights by design urban planner Irma Roldan resulted in the current look & feel for much of Downtown Edgewater including much new construction taking place near I-95 which finally ended traffic congestion around downtown Miami about 10 years ago Today EDGEWATER retains some aspects typical of early 20th century Edgebrook such as an extensive network of streetscape arches or vaults (a typeof architectural term referringto lowlands lyingbetween hills or mountains), large lawn areas enclosed by large trees or shrubs providing open public spacefilled withudicinal deities (), Dutch oven oven cookie baking evenings outdoors on screened porch (). This allows you to holster your weapon with minimal inconvenience, but it also has its own set of drawbacks. First,belt holsters tend not to fit all types of firearms perfectly, so there may be some clearance issues when using them with larger pistols or rifles. Second,belt holsters generally do not offer a lot of extra stability when carrying your handgun around; if you lose balance while wearing them, you could end up firing your pistol unintentionally! Paddle Grip Grips: These are designed specifically for pistols that have no slide on frames (or slides that are too small for standard hand holds). Instead, they connect between the pistol's barrel and grip frame using a seemingly infinite number of straps/cables/adapters. This typeof grip presents several challenges in terms of control: first off, because paddle grips cannot be attached directly onto existing slide hand guards (they must be fabricated from custom made parts), you'll needto find an additional mounting location for them on your gun's housing (usually located just behind the trigger guard). Additionally, paddle grips can only be held by those who know how to operateinsonly with their pistols - if you're struggling with keeping pressure against the trigger while shooting indoors or out in public places then this typeof grip might not be ideal for you!

The townsite changed hands several times before being purchased by developer Hernando Ponce de León in 1978 who renamed it "Ponce City" after Spanish explorer Ferdinand Magellan's first landfall in North America on September 28 that year while exploring Hispaniola looking for new land route to Asia bypassing Cuba; Ponce City reverted back to its original name upon his death in 1984.Hernando Ponce de León Papers In 1990 businessman Rothenberg bought the old citrus groves adjacent to what is now Downtown Edgewater from Hernando Ponce de León for $35 million making him one of the largest landowners in town history.[Rothenberg family papers]. In early 1991 Rothenberg partnered with entrepreneur Wilfredo Diaz to redevelop much space along Northeast Key Biscayne Boulevard including restoring some historic buildings which formed part of Miguel María Menéndez's once large sugarcane plantation complex known as La Casa Blanca.[Diaz family papers]. In 2002 William Bechtel acquired Rothenberg's share in Diaz's project leaving Rothenberg with sole ownership and management over all redevelopment projects within Downtown Edgewater; he also retains ownership over most property within limits currently designated as Historic District #2 which includes much of what remains todayof La Casa Blanca plantation complex housing both residential units and commercial businesses dating back to 1912.[Bechtel family papers].
After more than 10 years' worth efforts by residents group EDIAC (Edgewater Development Institute Citizens) spearheaded by Mayor José Gonzalez De la Rosa,[when?] rothenberg sold all but 3% interest in Diaz's project to Jeffrey Lipsky & Associates LLC for $27 million giving rise to[when?]the current city governmentowned structure comprising all redevelopment projects inside Downtown Edgewater - including those surrounding La Casa Blanca plantation complex - as well as majority control over all property within limits currently designated as Historic District #2 .
Within this newly constituted city government structure rothenberg continues overall operational leadership & management responsibility for all redevelopment projects inside Downtown Edgewater & retains exclusive ownership over most property within limits currentlydesignatedas Historic District#2 .
