On February 15th 1934 local legend has it that on that date Governor Orville Hargrave signed legislation creating new county boundaries which would eventually make then part of Brevard County - one day after finally being allowed into Florida by Congress as part of their Road Reconstruction Act Of 1935 After more than 50 years as part of Duval County - which included extensive Floridian development - on January 5th 1994 Dunedin made history when it became one of twenty cities located within Palm Beach County when it merged with neighboring Wellington However most people still refer to themselves simply as "Dunedin". As such almost all business signs are bilingual Spanish/English with just "DUNEDIN" written above everything else! There have been numerous attempts over time (and nowadays even internet campaigns) to rename both cities but so far no success!

In 1907 Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney donated $10,000 to help build Central Park and also contributed land for what would become Livingston Park today. In 1935 a new courthouse and jail were built in downtown Dunedin and named afterward - Harry S Truman Presidential Library & Museum
