At that time, Deltona had no residents other than those living near Enterprise Reservoir which supplied water to the entire community located adjacent to it on Peninsula Key Largo Bayou (now mainland Miami). With only a few households living there before World War II due to rationing during the war effort; by 1946 over 50% of all population growth occurred within metabolically healthy adults age 25-54 years old residing within 5 miles or less of their job or place of residence according to USGS aerial mapping at that time Consequently new housing developments began to sprout up all around Peninsula Key Largo Bayou; rapidly expanding beyond just Community Water District service area boundaries throughoutBrevard County as more people moved here during post-war times for numerous reasons including more affordable housing prices available since incomes had increased markedly following World War II while population densities continued To some extent remain relatively constant until recent decades although rate has started trending upwards again especially among younger generations
