The community has been reborn as an art center with new buildings constructed in recent years around The University of South Florida (USF) campus adjacent to the harbourfront where many properties once stood including: Ft Pierce Hall (now USF Fowler Museum), Stonington Landing (now Stonington Landing Marina), Harbour Centre (Hair salon complex now Art Gallery of Deltona), Pompano Beach Hotel and much more since USF opened its doors in 1996 after allying itself with then-Mayor Buddy Dyer who championed its development while also chairing city government’s planning committee which recommended that USF be open to students from any major university or college within commuting distance – something which still happens today! Although now long gone through various incarnations including name changes, ownership changes etc., one thing has not changed: The citizens of Deltona have always wanted their own university! And so what began as simply developing potential site space for USF has eventually morphed into creating world-renowned research institutions across all arts & humanities disciplines housed on vast campuses spanning over 20 milesplus just outside Kendallville – making this little town one big diamond Target!
