This family used it as a store before selling it to Halsey Pogue in 1922. Finally, it passed through another family until being purchased by the current owners who moved into it in 1959. The main industry that dominates Deltona today is farming however there are also some small businesses such as an auto dealership and gas station that have made a significant contribution to this community over the years. In 1925, plans were made to move the county seat from Jacksonville to Deltona but weren't realized until 1929 when an act of Congress designated Duval County its "ancestral county". As Jacksonville grew more populous and development pressures increased within Duval County limits – spurred largely by Progressives seeking annexation into Tallahassee – so too did sentiment towards relocation efforts among many residents of Jacksonville's northside suburbs like Flowery Branch and Gulfport Harbourbeckt while those living southtowne maintained supportive resistance until well into the 1930s (though some property owners began selling their homes withinDuval County limits soon after). Finally upon passage of Act No 2270 (30 January 1933) designating all east-central DuVal County lands as "parish land" status effective 1 April 1934 pursuant to section 3(c) of chapter 636A Statutes Of 1933 – all but two miles (3 km) west of US 192 along SR 98 became annexed into Tallahassee proper rather than JJunction City Limits whereuponResidentsOfSouthTowne began actively campaigning for annexation into their larger neighbor through political action committees whilethose residing northtowne boycotted city services altogether until well into World War II; despite this unofficial campaign effort not a single house withinJunctionCity Limitswas sold during 1932 & 1933 alone!
