Some of the earliest scopes were made by Dutch optics manufacturer, Zacharias Janssen. He created a telescope in 1638 that could only be used by gentlemen because it was too large for most people to use. In 1715, Nicholas-Jacques Conte designed and built the first successful astronomical observatory in Europe, which he called "The Great Planetarium." The first commercially available telescopes were made by astronomers in 1851 when James Clerk Maxwell developed a refracting telescope. In 1876, American astronomer Edward John Smith constructed the world's first artificial stellar map using a reflecting telescope. This instrument allowed him to identify certain stars that he had difficulty finding through binoculars or charts. By 1920, scopes had become commonplace throughout the United States and many countries around the world. After World War II, scopes became more portable and easier to use as technology improved. As new types of telescopes became available such as digital image stabilization (DIS) and variable focus systems (VF), scopers began exploring new ways to view objects at night using them. Deerfield Beach is a city located in Broward County, Florida. The population was 27,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami-Dade metropolitan area. Deerfield Beach was founded in 1896 as an agricultural community on the banks of Lake Worth Boulevard and became a popular summer destination for retirees and tourists. The city's name comes from two historic deer that grazed on the town's land in the 1800s. In 1892, Deerfield Beach voters passed a resolution to change its name to "Deerfield" in honor of these animals. Today, Deerfield Beach is considered one of South Florida's most lively coastal communities with wide sidewalks and bright sunsets over Palm Bayou. The first settlers to live in Deerfield Beach were white men who migrated from Georgia during the early 1800s looking for better opportunities than what they found back home. Three brothers, Elisha, Ebenezer and Seth Purdy settled on a farmstead near present day NW 2nd Street and SW First Avenue in October 1892. They named their property Palmetto Township after their plantation home in Savannah, Georgia where they had been born and raised. The Purdy brothers developed their land into agriculture by growing cotton, rice and other crops until 1926 when they sold it to local residents for $2 per acre ($40 total). By 1930, much of Deere Valley had been developed around Palmetto Lakes Resort which still occupies most of that location today including several golf courses (including Pinehurst Resort & Spa), tennis courts (the nearby White Sands Tennis Club has hosted Wimbledon Championships since 1903) as well as several large apartment buildings dating back to 1922-1924 which can be seen along NE 2nd Street between NW 3rd Avenue & NW 4th Avenue today. In 1903, local resident Harry Hirschman purchased 1/4 acre east of US 1 near current day NE 2nd Street & SW First Avenue for $10 ($160 total). He began developing his land into what would become known as Hirschman Park which included homesites for up to 100 people along with horseback Riding Lessons (& later Polo Grounds) , bring down trees (now part of JW Marriott Stadium) & erecting electric lights overnight! This initial development effort led to Hirschman becoming one of Broward County’s earliest developers with his own housing developments being built right next door to shopping centers now occupied by Orlando City SC soccer players before he moved westwardly following World War II expanding his holdings across Plantation Road into unincorporated Biscayne Hillsborough County finally dying out some time ago but remaining largely rural within Broward County until recently when annexation approved by county commissioners resulted in construction efforts underway at thisAddress including a state-of-the-art water filtration plant currently under way adjacent MLK Jr Drive & SE 6th Ave .homeowners associations have continued existing until recently although recent zoning changes may revoke many such approvals currently pending review by county commissioners

The community of Deerfield Beach was founded by settlers from New York City in 1853 as West Point on the east coast of Tampa Bay. It grew rapidly after annexation by Monroe County in 1868 and was renamed Deerfield Beach in 1914. The original deer factory closed in 1931; however, a modern deer farm has been operated there since that year.
