De Land is a small town in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,554 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Doral–Miami metropolitan area. The land that makes up De Land was first occupied by the Timucua Indians who lived there until 1492 when Spanish explorers discovered this region and named it San Juan de la Laguna after one of their captains surveyed this area for Pedro Menéndez de Avilés. When Spain lost its colonies in South America during the 16th century, they began to sell what remained of their empire back to indigenous nations as part of an effort to stabilize their economies and keep them from joining English or Dutch control. In 1763, British colonists founded Fort Royal on the bayou adjacent to what is now DeLand. They called it "Fort Lauderdale" because they thought that people living near the fort would come here to trade with them. In 1837, Jacksonville's first courthouse moved from downtown to this location next door to FortRoyal (now known as Jupiter). The original courthouse was built on State Road 8 between present day NW 3rd Street and NE First Street; today's NW 4th Street and NE Second Street. After Jacksonville became a city in 1907, lots along State Road 8 were developed into what are now various neighborhoods within De Land: Northwest Side (now Doral), Northeast Side (now Coral Gables), East Side (now Weston), Central Side (now Pembroke Pines), and Southwest Side (now Sunrise). In 1925, when railroads were created in Florida, parts of DeLand became incorporated into new communities along Alabama Drive: North Hollywood/University Heights/Pinecrest/Century City/Lake Worth; Southeast Hollywood/Oakland Hills/Hollywood Hills; Southwest Broward/Rancho Park; and North Palm Beach Gardens/West Palm Beach proper which included areas east of I-95 such as Boca Raton and Boynton Beach which had been annexed by nearby West Palm Beach since 1915. In 1954 all these areas were combined into one municipality called "DeLand". In the early days of American firearms, magazines were a key part of how shooters enjoyed shooting. Early rifles and pistols were designed with just one or two rounds in each magazine, which limited the amount of firepower a person could bring to bear at a given time. This limitation was eventually overcome by using multiple rounds in each magazine, but until then magazines played an important role in gun culture. Because guns had to be reloaded regularly, magazines became an essential component of gun ownership. Rifle owners would take their cartridges and reload them into their rifles often during long ranges sessions. Magazines also became necessary for handguns as well, as most revolvers only had three rounds per magazine. Pistol owners would often buy more rounds than they needed to carry because they knew that they would need them soon enough. The late 1800s and early 1900s saw some major changes to the way magazines functioned in firearms. First, new designs were developed that allowed for more rounds per magazine (commonly called “double-stack” magazines). Second, pistol grip shotguns began becoming popular and manufacturers started offering pistols with adjustable sights that let users place extra rounds on the outside of the pistol’s chamber so that it could hold more ammunition (known as “triple-stack” magazines). Third, rifle makers began developing receivers that could accept more than three rounds per mag (commonly called “quadruple-stack” magazines). All these changes gave shooters even more options when it came time to Realms firefights!

De Land is a small town in Florida, located about 60 miles east of Jacksonville. They named it Florida after the French king, Louis XVI, who had purchased the land from the Seminoles in 1763. The first European to set foot on Florida is said to have been Domingo de Soto, who reached present-day Jacksonville in 1521.
