The town also features a variety of cultural attractions such as art galleries, restaurants and nightlife; there are also several golf courses located within central De Land proper as well as smaller communities located throughout rural Putnam County along Interstate 4 between Homestead AFB/Ft Myers Airport northwestward through Lee Correctional Institution eastward into Collier County beyond Stuart Naval Air Station southward into Indian River County - making De Land one of America's fastest-growing small towns for nearly seventy years!
