With its location on Biscayne Bay made it an attractive location for businesses looking for advantages such as easy access to Interstate 95 southbound and northbound; quick connections to both international airports (Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport) with direct flights from many countries; good weather conditions year-round; and low taxes (just 8 percent), Daytona beach quickly emerged as one of South Florida's top business districts. There has been a highly significant history of firearms and chokes in the United States. Chokes have been used to prevent handguns from firing, as well as to restrict other people's access to firearms. In 1875, US Patent No. 3,846,671 was issued to John Moses Browning for the development of a firearm that utilized a recoil-operated choke tube. This choke tube would be used in his famous .22 LR rifle design. By 1913, most pistols in the US were already fitted with stocks that could be turned into rifles by means of an adjustable magazine release (AMR). These stocks were also fitted with triggers that could be pulled back tocock the gun and chamber ammunition (this was done using what is now called a cocking lever). The first weapons chocked with this technology were World War I trench guns and machineguns. In 1916, the military began using buttstocks wich had integral iron sights on them instead of round pegs on the handguard(s) which made it possible for soldiers to use theseifles while they fired from armoured vehicles or while under fire from artillery pieces

Daytona Beach is a small town in Volusia County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,688 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford metropolitan area. Daytona Beach's history stretches back to 1875 when it was founded as a trading post on the Intracoastal Waterway by John Haney and his family. From its early days, Daytona Beach has been an important center for commerce and culture in southwest Florida. In 1925, Mayor Fenton Richards designated Daytona Beach as the county seat of Volusia County; this designation lasted until 1959. The city of Daytona Beach was incorporated on February 14, 1954. It grew rapidly from its incorporation to its peak population of 30,000 in 1969; however, due to annexation by Sanford later that year and changes in zoning laws throughout much of south Florida during the 1970s and 1980s, Daytona Beach's population gradually decreased over the years until it reached its current level of 2,688 people as of 2010. The first settlers in what would become Daytona Beach arrived on horseback or foot from Georgia and Alabama around 1875. Many were Methodist missionaries working along the Miami River route followed by Andrew Jackson when he visited that region in 1837-38. By 1860 there were more than 100 white traders living near what is now downtown Daytona Beach because Key West had opened up as a result of Commodore James Watts' purchase of Pensacola Bay from Spain in 1815 (Wattsville). In 1865 two brothers—John Crouse and Will Rogers—founded Newsome & Rogers Station where they stored goods for delivery to northern ports along Interstate 95 (I-95) before traveling downriver to market their products at New Orleans through riverboat trips across Lake Monroe (now Lake George). On December 27th 1865 WN&R shipped saltpeter worth $1,,000laden SS Annandale outfitted with three vessels—SS Templeton ($2,-700), SS Annapolis ($4,-800), and SS Ocala ($8,-500)—from Mobile Bay just east of present day Downtown Dayton beach on I-95 about 21 miles northwest then 10 miles south southwest (the trip took 23 hours and covered 285 miles). One account describes these shipments: "At 4 P M we anchored off shoals just below Frenchtown Point Light where we put up our tents for night…about 5 P M next morning we got underway again under full sail making good progress until after 9 PM when steering towards Spanish Pass….We passed Dutchman’s Island about 12 Midnight….Next morning we passed close to Frenchtown Point Light but steering towards Spanish Pass……We Anchored off Spanish Pass about 1 AM next day." arrested one man for piracy while operating this ship In 1876 Fenton Richards purchased land adjacent to today's Downtown Dayton beach which became known asRichardson Fields after him In 1907 WDMI started broadcasting live audio/visual broadcasts from studios located at 319 North Andrews Avenue between Hillsborough Boulevard & First Street Underwood also began transmitting Audio/Visual programming from here starting October 15th 1957 thru May 3rd 1958 They changed call sign To WTTE January 1st 1958 The transmitter site was moved back here June 25th 1959 relicensed Nov 17th 1960 WTTE moved back here Dec 12th 1960 original tower site
