On December 12th 1901 both towns merged into one municipality with a combined population of over 20,000 people! This move helped boost local businesses as well as create more jobs for residents in both towns which helped keep them vibrant until today! One important aspect that has kept Dania Beach thriving since its establishment is its strong infrastructure which includes four high schools (Fort Walton Beach High School; Evergreen Ridge High School; Palm Harbor Senior High School; Pinellas Park Senior High School), three hospitals (Broward General Hospital; Hollywood Hills Hospital; Sunrise Hospital), six parks (Fort Lauderdale-Dania Memorial Park; Coconut Creek Park; Lauderhill Park; Miami Lakes Park & Recreation Area), five libraries (Fort Walton Beach Library Trustees’ Meeting Center Annexe; Coconut Creek Library District Boardwalk Branch: Coral Gables Branch ; Hollywood Hills Library District Bookmobile Branch - at Dolphin Mall ); twelve professional sports teams (NFL's Dolphins/Bengals/Patriots/Jaguars/Lions/Broncos/Eagles etc.), eleven universities including Rollins College within walking distance as well as several large retailers such as Sears Roebuck & Co., Macy's Inc., JCPenney Inc., Mercedes-Benz USA etc.; plus many smaller businesses like ice cream parlors, convenience stores etc. Today there are over 21 thousand residents living in this vibrant town located just outside Ft worth!
