Cutler Bay is a town located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. Cutler Bay was founded in 1892 by John C. Cutler and James Fenton. The town was named for Cutler's brother-in-law, George Washington Cutler. In 1915, the village of Cutler Bay merged with the town of Homestead to form a new municipality. In 1972, the municipality amalgamated again with neighboring PortMiami to create the current city of Miami Beach. The first scopes seen in Cutler Bay were probably made by Daniel Cooley during his time as an assistant Surveyor General for South Florida in 1795-96. By 1800 there were at least six scopes in use within the area including one built by Captain Benjamin Sharp and used on a trip to Cuba that year. By 1812 there were at least twenty-four scopes being used in South Florida alone according to Captain James Cook's journal entry from January 12th that year while he was aboard HMS Endeavour on his journey from England to Australia via Pacific Ocean route (the first circumnavigation of the world). In 1821 Dr Samuel Morse constructed what is now known as Morse Hall which served as a observatory for three years before it burned down due to an electrical fire caused by faulty wiring.. One can assume that this was one of the earliest Amateur Radio facilities ever created and may have been spotted or heard using one or more early scopes throughout history! One such early sighting took place on October 28th 1830 when Commodore Stephen Decatur sighted "a large circular object" off Fort Lauderdale Harbor while cruising through that area looking for land sources leading up towards Key West - this may be considered one of America's earliest professional astronomical observation sites!
